  • Candidates can submit the filled application form in person or by post by submitting the DD of Rs. 400/-for general category candidates and Rs. 100/- for SC/ST category candidates for admission in the Ph.D. / M.Pharm courses along with all the attested copies of the documents submitted at:

Application Process for B.Sc

  • Candidates who wish to apply for this course must apply online, through the official university website.

  • The time period to apply will be usually a one-month period, after receiving official notification from the university.

Application Process for Diploma in Medical

  • The selection process consists of a comprehensive entrance examination conducted by the university towards the end of the month of June.

  • The question paper consists of two sections, where the first tests general medical knowledge, and the second tests the

    aptitude of the candidate towards the relevant subject of study. They both hold equal weightage.

  • The test is multiple choice, with 90 questions to be answered in a one and a half hour duration.

  • Qualifying degree merit may also be considered.

General Requirements for Undergraduate / Postgraduate Admissions for the year 2019

  • Reservation seats are allocated for those candidates who secure any achievements mentioned below:

    • Candidates who received the “President Award” during the five year period and won medals, cups or plates in games during five years period of study in Karnataka between VIII to XII standards.

    • Candidates who represented the country at international level during and won medals, cups or plates in games during five years period of study in Karnataka between VIII to XII standards.

    • Candidates who possess at least ‘B’ certificate under NCC obtained during the 5 years of study in Karnataka between VIII to XII

    • Candidates who represented Karnataka in any sports or games and won medals, cups or plates during five years period of study in Karnataka between VIII to XII standards

    • Candidates who represented Karnataka in any sports or games and won medals, cups or plates during five years period of study in Karnataka between VIII to XII standards

Admission Process for B.Sc

  • After the processing of application form, the selection process is done.

  • Primary weightage for selection is mainly based on the qualifying examinations merit list.

  • Followed by an interview round if necessary as per the university.

  • Once the merit list of the entrance examination is released, candidates must complete verification of documents.

  • Finally, the admission process is completed by payment of relevant fees.

Admission Process for Diploma in Medical

  • The candidates interested in pursuing this course may apply by online through the official university website.

  • Time duration to fill application form is around one month period in the month of May.

  • Based on merit list seats are allotted.

  • Mostly after the release of merit list within 1-week admission process will start by document verification.

Ph.D. / M.Pharm

  • The selection process to the Ph.D. / M.Pharm course consists of thorough scrutiny of the application form received. 

  • Qualifying degree merit is considered for the course.

  • An interview may be conducted if deemed necessary by the University.

  • Once the merit list of the entrance examination is released, candidates must complete verification of documents and payment of relevant fees for the admission to be processed completely.

  • The candidate must fulfill the criteria that he/she should be an Indian.

  • The candidate must possess an MBBS degree from University recognized by the MCI, and an MD / MS degree or the equivalent from a recognized university.

  • The subject of the M.D. / M.S. degree acquired must be relevant in the field being pursued.

  • General Medicine and Pediatrics are accepted for almost all DM courses, except for Anesthesia, which requires an MD in Anesthesia.

  • The interested candidate must have a Master’s degree with 50% aggregate from RGUHS or any other equivalent recognized by the Medical Council of India.

  • Only degrees acquired from RGUHS recognized universities will be accepted for admission criteria.

  • Those who have earned a Diploma in National Board (DNB) in any concerned subject can also apply for admission.

  • The Oncology course accepts certain M.Sc. degrees as well, requiring a minimum of 55% to be obtained at this level.

  • All the applicants are required to pass the All India Entrance Examination as well as qualify the round of Personal Interview conducted by the college.

  • Candidates are also required to clear the Pre-Ph.D. course which is for a duration of 6 months.

  • And candidates are requested to submit their Research Proposal before the commencement of the interview process.

The eligibility for the Bpharm is the candidates must secure minimum of 50% in their 12th boards. I don't know about the cutoffs.
