The Eligibility criteria for admission in BSc Mathematics in Pragjyotish College is obviously 10+2. Typical cut off for Mathematics Department is about 72 % for general and about 65% for OBC. You have to go to the college office to collect the admission form, and there they will tell you the date of admission. On the date of admission, the admission will take place in a Hall. There they will call your name out accordingly to your total marks. If your marks are high you get the admission soon enough and if your marks are low you will have to wait.
The admission process is done on the basis of marks obtained in the last qualifying exam I.e 10+2. And for opting major subject one have to give application on the concern department. Students are taken as major students on the concern department as the merit list have been put out according to the marks obtained on that particular subject on last qualifying exam.
One need to secure 70 % marks in 10+2 to get admission in this college. Established in 1954 the college so far doesn't have any entrance examination for admissions the but high percentage in 10+2 gets the preference for admission.
