Eligibility Criteria for MBA

  • Candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks in aggeragate to get Panjab University, Chandigarh admissions 2019.

  • AMIE examination with a minimum of 50% marks after having passed the diploma exam with 60% marks or above and have a minimum of 5 years teaching/ research of professional experience.

  • They must appear and qualify in MET to be eligible.

Eligibility Criteria for BA

The aspirants need to have passed 10+2 in any relevant discipline with minimum 33% marks.

Eligibility Criteria for B.Com

B.Com course requires students to have a 10+2 degree with minimum 45% marks.

Eligibility Criteria for BE

The following categories of candidates are eligible to apply for admission in BE: 

  • Trained in-service teachers in elementary education.

  • Candidates who have finished an NCTE recognized teacher education programme through face-to-face mode

Eligibility Criteria for B.Lib.I.Sc

  • Bachelors degree with at least 50% marks in the aggregate from this University or from any other University the Bachelor's degree of which has been recognized by the Senate/ Syndicate.

  • Masters degree from this University or from any other University the Master's degree of which has been recognized by the University

  • Any other qualification recognized by the Senate/ Syndicate as equivalent to (a) and (b) above

Eligibility Criteria for B.P.Ed

  • Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks and having at least a participation in Inter-College/Inter-Zonal/District/School Competition, or,

  • Students must have a Bachelor’s degree with minimum 45% marks in National/Inter University/State competitions, or,

  • Secured 1st, 2nd or 3rd position in Inter College/Inter-Zonal/District/School competition, or,

  • Graduation with 45% marks and at least three years of teaching experience (for deputed in-service candidates i.e. trained physical education teachers/coaches).

Eligibility Criteria for B.Sc

Requirements for B.Sc that must be satisfied by the candidate before filling up the application form is that he should have passed 10+2 in any discipline with at least 40% marks.

Eligibility Criteria for MA

To pursue MA the candidate needs to have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 45% marks (40% marks for ST/ SC).

Eligibility Criteria for MCA

Candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree of Panjab University Under 10 +2 +3 system of examination with the least 50 % marks in any descipline or B.Tech / B.E degree from a recognized university.

Eligibility Criteria for M.Com

Aspirant needs to have a B.Com degree from a recognized university with not less than 45% marks in aggregate.

Eligibility Criteria for M.Ed

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline or B.Ed. or BA B.Ed. or BSc B.Ed. or B.EI.Ed. Or D.EI.Ed. with at least 50% marks.

Eligibility Criteria for M.P.Ed

Requirements for applying for M.P.Ed is that a candidate should have B.P.Ed or B.Sc. degree in Health and Physical Education with at least 50% marks.

Eligibility Criteria for M.Sc

The candidate needs to have a B.Sc. degree in relevant discipline from a recognized university to pursue M.Sc from Pankaj university, Chandigarh.

Eligibility Criteria for Other Courses.

BCA

A person who has passed +2 examination in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks and passed Mathematics as one of the subjects at Matriculation examination level shall be eligible to enter the first semester class of B.C.A. Course.

BBA

The candidate should have successfully passed the 10+2 examination with at least 50% marks.

  • The admissions are based on an objective test and your previous college marks. Little weightage is there in the case of PG admissions and 12th class marks are significant too for UG course.

Panjab University, Chandigarh has seat reservation for thalassemia patients, AIDS patients and cancer patients. There are two additional seats for rural area students. 5% marks relaxation is given to physically handicapped candidates.

Features of hostels are as follows:

  • There are seventeen Residence Halls for students on the campus, 8 each for boys and 9 for girls and a Working Women Hostel. These Halls, which accommodate more than 6000 students.
  • The hostel makes sure that the environment that the students reside in are safe and clean.
  • There are Wardens/Hostel Staff on duty round the clock to supervise and maintain a check on all the residents.
  • Each hostel has a dining hall and canteen and water coolers, a visitors' lounge, and an outdoor court for sports activities like badminton, volleyball etc.
  • There is a common room with magazines and newspapers.
  • There is also provision for indoor games, LCD TV and music system.
  • The hostel also takes the initiative of organising talent shows and literary events.
