North Maharashtra University, [NMU] - Application Process

  • Most courses (unless specified) have seats reserved under Centralized Admission Process(CAP) and Spot Admission Process (SAP).

  • For the CAP process, each course will require the candidate to appear for a CET for the respective course and follow the counselling procedure of the same.

  • For the SAP process, candidates can fill out the form available on the official website.

  • Once the form is filled the website will generate a user ID, make note of this as it will be used as a reference for your application.

  • Further correspondence will occur on the website itself.

  • Print the application form, affix your passport sized photo and attach with it the attested copies of the required documents.

  • Application fee of Rs. 300/- is to be paid by DD drawn in the favour of ‘The Finance and Accounts Officer, North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon’. 

  • Submit the completed form along with the DD to the concerned University Schools or send it by post.

Application Process for B.Sc

B.Sc (Actuarial Science):

Admissions to this course at NMU are only through Spot Admission Process (SAP).

Application Process for M.Phil

  • Applicants can directly apply to the institute office.

  • Each candidate will have to submit all supporting documents as their past performance will be vetted by the institute's admission board for the M.Phil Course.

Admission Process - North Maharashtra University, [NMU] Jalgaon

Centralised Admission Process:

  •  Once the counselling process is over will have to report to the campus.

  • Candidates will have to submit the documents at the respective schools of the NMU. 

  • Once the documents are submitted the final enrollment process and payment of fees will take place.

Spot Admission Process:

  • Once the merit list is out, shortlisted candidates will need to carry the original documents (and two sets of attested copies) and report to the respective schools of NMU.

  • Candidates will need to submit the admission form and pay fees for SAP.

  • Candidates who are allotted a seat will need to submit the eligibility form in a week's time.

Admission Process for MBA

  • Admission to this course is based purely on merit.

  • Candidates will also have to appear for group discussion and personal interview held by the institution.

  • They must have scored minimum 45% (40% for reserved category) in aggregate.

BBM / MBA (Integrated):

  • Candidate must have passed [10+2] qualifying examination from a recognized board/ institution.

  • Candidate should possess minimum 45% marks (40% marks for reserved category) in aggregate.

BBA / BMS:

  • Candidates must have passed [10+2] from a recognized board/ institution.

  • They could also have a Diploma in Engineering or Pharmacy from Maharashtra Technical Board or its equivalent.

  • They who have passed [10+2] M.C.V.C course from Maharashtra State Education Board are also eligible.

Course Information:

The School of Environmental and Earth Sciences has established on 1st July 1999. The School has a building with 7500 sq. m. built up area and vast open space. In shorts span of 14 years, the School has established excellent laboratories and library facilities to get quality education in the field of environment and earth sciences.

School offers four Post Graduate courses in Environmental Science, Applied Geology, Applied Geography and M. Tech in Environmental Science and Technology. In addition to this, school has started Certificate course in Industrial Safety and management under career oriented certificate courses of UGC from academic year 2013 – 14. Eco-friendly sustainable approach in the process of development is a unique culture developed at the School.

The School has received research project grants from various agencies like DST, UGC, MoEF, UNICEF, DRDO, MoWR and state government agencies. The School is covered under the special Assistance Programme (UGC-SAP-DRS, Phase I) of UGC, New Delhi for financial Assistance of 5 years (2009-2012). The School is also covered under DST-FIST programme - Level – I (2012-2017) for financial support.

Eligibility for Admission:

Graduation and a bachelors degree in Science or Engineering discipline obtained through the 10+2+4 system or an equivalent qualification with a minimum aggregate of 55% or equivalent CGPA of any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India. A Relaxation of 5% aggregate is there for SC/ST candidates.
