Hi

Last year student with gate score of 650 (mech-gen category) was shortlisted for GD-/PI. This year also you can expect a shortlist, remember shortlist only. Final selection depends totally on your performance during GD-PI, acads and workex. Proper weightage is given to all the parameters- workex, performance during GD-PI, GATE score and acads.

If your GATE score and Rank is  good i.e. if it is above 650, there are good chances to convert if you perform well during your GD-PI.
