  • The application form for admission to Mount Carmel College, Bangalore is available for UG/PG programs through online mode only.

  • Mount Carmel College offers admission to students who have secured at least first class or above in their 12th Board Examinations.
  • The admission procedure is simple for BA PyES as there is no entrance examination required.
  • The cut-off changes every year but is published on the website as well as the notice board of the Degree College.  
  • The cut off is generally not very high as the college accepts students from all backgrounds and the college does have special seats reserved for the SC/ST class as well. 
  • The admission procedures begin as soon as the results of the 12th Board Examinations are declared.

  • Then there is a personal interview where general questions are asked.

  • There is then a meeting with the Principal about the rules and regulations of the College

  • I have completed my graduation from Mount Carmel College, Bangalore with a triple major in Microbiology, Chemistry, and Botany. I shall begin the review with how I got admission followed by my opinion of the kind of college life I got to experience.
  • Admissions are usually done on the basis if a cutoff mark that is set every year. For science it is usually between 75-80 and the admission is usually on a first come first serve basis.
  • As long as seats are available and you have the required cut , you can get a hassle free straight admission.
  • In case you don't have the required cut off marks there might be an exception if you have a genuine reason, but that totally depends on what the administration thinks about it.

- The procedure for the application for any course is quite simple once you are clear of what you want to do. In case one has any doubt with the procedure or even the course there are a lot of staff members around that will gladly assist you to go the right way. The eligibility for any course is to have a percentage of 50% from any valid board of education.

- I did write an entrance examination for PYEC ( Communication English).

  • Every course has it's own cut-off and eligibility criteria. Usually, it is 70% with no backlogs. Every department is free to conduct its entrance examination, you can find out by contacting the office if there is an entrance exam for the course you are interested in. Also, when you apply, they will inform in the form itself if there is an entrance exam and it's detailed. Typically cutoffs are usually 75-80%.
