  • The candidates should have passed in B.Sc degree with minimum 50% marks from a recognized College/University for Madras Institute of Technology, Chennai admissions 2019.

Eligibility Criteria for Other Courses.

B.E/ B.Tech:

  • The candidate seeking admission in BE/ B.Tech should have passed (10+2) examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as mandatory subjects with minimum 50% marks for general and 45% marks for OBC and 40% marks for SC/ST candidates for Madras Institute of Technology, Chennai admission 2019.

  • A candidate seeking admissions to the part-time mode of study shall have his/her permanent place of work within a distance of 90km from the study campus of the institution.

  • The candidate who applies should be of age lesser than 21 years on first of July of the year of application. For candidates from SC/ST, the age limit is relaxable by three years.

  • The candidate seeking admission from any State other than Tamil Nadu State should produce the Native Certificate at the time of admission.

M.E/ M.Tech:

  • The candidate must have finished a Bachelor's Degree in BE/ B.Tech from a relevant course with minimum 50% marks from a recognized College/University for admission to Madras Institute of Technology, Chennai.

  • Eligibility conditions for admission such as class obtained, number of attempts in the qualifying examination and physical fitness will be as prescribed by the syndicate of the University from time to time.
  • A candidate seeking admissions to the part-time mode of study shall have his/her permanent place of work within a distance of 90 km from the study campus of the institution.

Admission procedure is like you can apply through the counseling. If you have scored good, Then cutoff marks are 97% and if you have scored more than that then definitely get MIT campus.

For M.Tech we should clear TANCET/GATE exam. I had taken TANCET exam to enter MIT. I scored 30 marks in TANCET.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

 Graduation and a bachelors degree in any discipline obtained through the 10+2+4 system or an equivalent qualification with a minimum aggregate of 55% or equivalent CGPA of any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India. A Relaxation of 5% aggregate is there for SC/ST candidates

The total fee is INR 90,440/-
