  • Fill in all the details and click on “PAY ONLINE".

  • This completes the Application Procedure (application fee will automatically load while making payment).

  • After the application fee payment, MCC ID will be generated and will be sent to the registered mobile number and email ID.

  • This MCC ID should be used for further reference.

  • Separate applications should be used, each for a different course.

  • One valid Mobile number and E-mail ID must be provided as the Madras Christian College, Chennai Admission Office will contact applicants only through the provided contact details.

  • Applications without the correct information will be not be considered.

  • The list of the selected students for all the courses will also be displayed on the College Notice Board and on the Madras Christian College, Chennai Website.

  • Admission card will be sent to the registered E-mail ID.

  • Admission date for the selected candidates will be sent through E-mail, SMS and it will be displayed on the College notice board and on the College website.

  • The students who get the Admission card can pay the fees.
  • For Hostel accommodation, the student should submit a separate application to the Dean of Students Affairs (DSA) for (Hostel) accommodation after being admitted in the course by paying the prescribed fees.

  • The college does not accept any kind of donation for admission. If anyone promises a student's admission on payment of donation in cash or kind, it must be brought to the Principal's notice immediately, if not, it will lead to cancelation of admission.

General requirements for Undergraduate Programmes:

  • The students who apply to Madras Christian College should have a pass in the Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary or an equivalent examination by a recognized board.

  • The upper age limit for admission to UG courses will be 21 years as on 1st July of the year of  Admission. A 5 years relaxation is permitted for differently abled and 3 years for women students.

General requirements for Postgraduate Programmes:

The students who apply for the Postgraduate Programmes in Madras Christian College, Chennai should have a Graduate Degree from the University of Madras or any recognized University.

Eligibility Criteria for MA

The students who apply for MA course should have at least 50% aggregate marks in the respective subject except for Public Administration, Philosophy, Political Science and Tamil for admission to Madras Christian College, Chennai.

Eligibility Criteria for MCA

  • The students who apply should have a First Class in any degree, with Mathematics as a subject or Mathematics as one of the subjects in 10+2 for admission to Madras Christian College, Chennai.

  • The eligibility criteria are something which makes student avail to the college and madras Christian college which comes under the top 5 colleges in India has certain criteria like the student should have completed his or her 12th exam from a well-reputed school and with good marks. The student must have good spoken skills and should be a versatile and active one. There is no such entrance exam. The admission is totally based on the marks you scored on your 12th examination and for Masters, the graduation marks should be 65% at least. For under graduation course the cut off is 85% above. And masters require 65% of your UG course

  • A pass in the Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary or equivalent examination.

  • The upper age limit for admission to UG courses will be 21 years as on 1st July 2017. Relaxation of 5 years is permitted for differently abled and 3 years for women students.

  • Candidates from Boards other than Tamil Nadu State Board, CBSE, AISSCE and ISCE must produce Eligibility Certificate from the University of Madras. All candidates who pass the Higher Secondary Examination of Tamil Nadu State Board by PRIVATE STUDY and private candidates from CBSE or under the OPEN SCHOOL SYSTEM should also produce Eligibility Certificate.

  • The College offers Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Sanskrit, German and French for the aided Day Stream Undergraduate courses. A student can opt for any one of these Languages. For Tamil and Hindi the candidate should have studied that subject as a second language at XII and X std. respectively. • Only those students have studied Hindi as a second language till 10th or +2 must-opt Hindi as Part I Language.

  • Applicants for B.A. Economics should have preferably taken Mathematics at the Higher Secondary Examination or other qualifying examinations.
