Application Process for Loyola College, Chennai Admissions 2019


Loyola College, Chennai

  • Candidates can apply for any desired program by visiting the official website for Loyola College, Chennai admissions.

  • Candidates need to have an email id and mobile number to complete the online registration process.

Documents to be uploaded:

1. Qualifying Mark Statement or the official copy issued of the same.

2. Community Certificate, if not are not an OC candidate

The scanned copy of both these documents should be in black and white and should be within 200 KB.

Mode of Payment:

Candidates can pay the cost of application through Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking or By Cash at any branch of Axis Bank (through EASY PAY) as per your convenience.

STEP 1:

Candidates need to first register to start off with the process of application.

Step 2:

Log in with the user id and password

Step 3:

Candidates have to fill their basic information like gender, nationality, caste, mother tongue etc.

Step 4:

Candidates have to fill specific details like differently abled, special categories, dalit categories etc.

Step 5:

Candidates are required to fill their educational qualification in this step which includes languages studied in 10th and 12th, month and year of passing etc.

Step 6:

Candidates are required to attach documents related to qualification and community and update.

Step 7:

  • There is two shift available for students:
    • Shift I -8.15 a.m to 1.15 pm(Government aided courses)
    • Shift II-1.30 p.m to 6.30 p.m(Self Supporting Courses)
  • Candidates can apply for more than one courses in the shift I and shift II separately from the list of eligible courses.
  • Once candidates are sure about the desired courses click on apply. 

Step 8:

Candidates need to pay the application fees for admission to Loyola College, Chennai inclusive of processing fee which is Rs 150 for UG, Rs 200 PG and Rs 500 for M.Phil. For SC/ST candidates only processing fees are applicable which is Rs 123 for UG, Rs 158 for PG and Rs 500 for M.Phil.

Mode of Payment: Debit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking or Cash. For easy pay candidates need to get a challan and money should be paid.

Candidates will get an application number after the payment of the fees. The status will be sent to the candidate through SMS and email.

General requirements for Undergraduate Courses:

Interview:

  • The original documents of all the certificates uploaded with the online application should be submitted for verification.
  • Only the provisionally selected candidates who are provisionally selected will be informed.
  • Those candidates have to be present with their parents for the interview with the Principal on the date mentioned in the call-letter.
  • Failure to attend the interview will lead to cancellation of admission.
  • The information will be sent to the registered SMS and Email if selected.
  • It will also be posted online. The application status for Loyola College, Chennai admissions will be available on the college website.

Payment of Fees:

The candidates provisionally selected and admitted should deposit the prescribed fee at Axis Bank - CMS counter at Loyola College campus.

General requirements for Postgraduate Courses:

ENTRANCE TEST:

  • There will an Entrance test for candidates who apply for admission to Loyola College, Chennai to PG courses.
  • The test will be followed by a personal interview.
  • Students shall submit all the original documents at the interview for verification.

Candidates who apply should have finished the Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary Course or any other recognized equivalent course are eligible for admission to the Undergraduate courses. Those who have passed the following examinations should submit an eligibility certificate provided by the University of Madras to be eligible for Loyola College, Chennai admissions 2019.

Higher Secondary or equivalent examination of all other State Boards except Tamil Nadu.

Candidates including girls who have studied any group in Plus Two or Equivalent Examination can apply for Loyola College, Chennai admissions 2019.

M.A. in Economics:

M.A. in English:

M.A in Sociology:

Eligibility Criteria for MCA

Candidates who have done any degree with one paper in Mathematics / Statistics as allied and Mathematics at Plus two level can apply for admission to Loyola College. TANCET score is mandatory for the same.

The eligibility criteria are that you should have finished your 10 +2 and you should have taken commerce group. The admission procedure is that you have to apply your application on the official website and you have to wait for the official admission list to get admitted into the college officially.There is no entrance exams for the admission of Ug courses. If you get above 80% on the main subjects then you will be able to get admission easily.

  • The criteria for getting into any course in Loyola would be to write an entrance exam and interview which would be followed right after. You'll be evaluated based on the average of entrance written, interview and your previous course marks.

  • For taking Bio-Tech in particular you must have a science background in your higher secondary for your bachelor's.
  • For your masters, you can be a graduate in Bio-Tech, botany, zoology and most of the science course, though not physics.
