Eligibility criteria at KMCH College of Nursing, Coimbatore

Eligibility criteria for B.Sc:

• Only female candidates are eligible to apply.
• Candidates should have passed HSC or equivalent examination.
• The candidates must have passed with an aggregate of 45% in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English (For SC/ST candidates not less than 40% aggregate is essential).
• The candidate should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the admission year.

Eligibility criteria for M.Sc:

• Both male and female candidates are eligible to apply.
• Candidates should have passed B.Sc Nursing Degree.
• The candidate must have passed with 55% marks either from The Tamil Nadu Dr M.G.R Medical University or any other University accepted as equivalent thereto.
• B.Sc Nursing graduates should have at least 1 year of experience in a Teaching hospital or in a college or in a School of Nursing after registration with the Nursing Council.
• The candidate should have registered with the Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council, Chennai.

Application Process at KMCH College of Nursing, Coimbatore

Application Process for B.Sc:

The following certificates/documents have to be submitted along with duly filled Application form (Originals + 4 Photostat Copies):

• Transfer Certificate from the Institution last studied.
• HSC / Pre-degree / AISSCE / ISCE / CBSE / Intermediate / Diploma mark statement(s)
• Vocational stream is not eligible for admission.
• Migration Certificate for the students who have passed other than HSC Examination of Tamil Nadu.
• Eligibility Certificate obtained from The Tamil Nadu Dr M.G.R Medical University, Chennai (For students who have passed their Qualifying Examination other than HSC Examination, Tamil Nadu)
• Community Certificate (except OC candidates)
• Passport Size Photographs (5 Nos.)

For NRI Candidates:

• NRI status of financial supporter issued by the Indian Embassy of the respective country under their seal.
• Certificate of Relationship between NRI financial supporter and the candidate issued by the competent authority, valid Indian Passport of the NRI financial supporter.
• Original and Copies of Passport and Visa of the candidate.
• NRE (Non-Resident External) Bank Account Pass Book of the financial supporter.
• Evidence for payment of US $ 1000 Development Charges to the college by the NRI financial supporter (one-time payment at the time of admission)

Application Process for M.Sc:

The following certificates/documents have to be submitted along with duly filled Application form (Originals + 4 Photostat Copies):

• Transfer Certificate from the Institution last studied
• UG Provisional / Degree Certificate
• UG mark statements
• Migration Certificate for the students who have passed UG Degree course other than the Tamil Nadu Dr M.G.R Medical University, Chennai
• Council Registration Certificate from Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council, Chennai.The candidates who have registered with other states Nursing Council should submit the Registration Certificate of other state councils also.
• Eligibility Certificate obtained from The Tamil Nadu Dr M.G.R Medical University, Chennai.
• Experience Certificate(s) for a minimum period of one year from the date of Council Registration.
• Community Certificate (except OC candidates)
• Passport Size Photographs (5 Nos.)

Admission process at KMCH College of Nursing, Coimbatore

Admission Process for B.Sc, M.Sc:

• The candidates seeking admission to the courses with prescribed qualification should submit the duly filled-in application to the admission office with copies of certificates on or before the stipulated time.
• Then a merit list will be formulated.
• The candidates whose names appear on the list are said to be selected.
• Those candidates must pay the admission fee and enrol for the course.
