Eligibility- Students are selected on the basis of their 12th class percentage. Cut-offs are been declared after submission of all documents and the students coming under cutoffs has to make payment of fees and complete the procedure No entrance exam is required. Cut off for my course generally ranges from 80-95 %. And generally, 3-5 merit list is been declared on the basis of students enrolled

Eligibility: equivalent examination in any board throughout the country. Students must have also studied and passed in any one of the subjects like accountancy/ Business Studies/ Economics/ Mathematics at the intermediate level. The admission process is merit-based. Total 6 merit lists are there. I have not given any entrance exam. Colleges Cut off Ranges from 90.4% to 72.4% for BBI. Cut-offs of the open category are always higher than other categories like ST, NT.etc.

a) All those students seeking admission to F.Y.B.Com. class (Except Accounting and finance, Financial Markets and BMS), please note that the “IN HOUSE” students (student of K.J.Somaiya Junior College of Science and Commerce) will be admitted to the above course on 16th June to 19th June, 2014 (upto 3.00 p.m.) on first come first basis.

b) S.K.Somaiya Vinay Mandir students having minimum marks 375 will be admitted to the above course 16th June to 19th June, 2014 (upto 3.00 p.m.) on first come first basis.

c) PLEASE NOTE : Students passed with more than one attempts or passed with Form No.17 at XII Std. from this Institution will not be considered for F.Y.B.Com. admission as inhouse students.

d) No claim of In-house students will be entertained and the College will not be held responsible for Non-availability of seats to the in-house students after the above-mentioned dates.

BACHELOR OF MANAGEMENT STUDIES DEGREE (BMS)

Eligibility -

First Year: The Student shall have passed XIIth Std. Examination of the Maharashtra Board of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination at one sitting or Diploma in any Engineering branches with two years or three years or four years duration after the S.S.C conducted by the Board of Technical Education, Maharashtra State or its equivalent examination and should have secured not less than 50% marks and 45% marks in the case of Backward Class Candidates.

Second Year: The candidate, to be eligible for admission to S.Y.B.M.S. should have passed all theory papers in all the previous semesters OR failed in not more than 2 theory papers, in I & II Semester End Examinations taken together.

Third Year: A candidate shall be allowed to keep terms for Semester V if he/she passes in each of Semester I, II, III and IV or if he/she passes Semester I and Semester II and fails in not more than two theory papers of Semester III and Semester IV taken together. A candidate shall be allowed to keep terms for Semester VI if he/she passes in each of Semester I, II, III, IV and V or if he/she passes Semester I, Semester II and Semester III and fails in not more than two theory papers of Semester IV and Semester V taken together irrespective of his/her grade in project I of Semester V. A candidate who does not secure a minimum grade of “C” in Project I and or Project II has to submit a fresh project till he/she secures a minimum grade of “C”.

Scheme of Examination - 

  1. The examinations shall be conducted at the end of each semester.
  2. A theory paper will carry 100 marks. The evaluation of the performance of the students in the theory papers shall be on the basis of both internal assessment (40%) and semester end examination (60%). Internal evaluation should be on the basis of class assignments, group discussion, seminars, attendance, etc. The semester end exam shall be held at the end of each semester and shall be of two hrs. duration. 50 Passing Standard and Performance Grading.
  3. Passing Standard: A student shall have to obtain a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate for each theory paper (where the theory paper consists of Internal Assessment and Semester (End Examination) with a minimum of 40% marks (i.e. 16 out of 40) in the internal assessment and 40% marks in semester end examination (i.e. 24 out of 60) separately to pass the subject and minimum of grade C in each project wherever applicable to pass a particular semester.
