There is nothing like cutoffs for the course but rank matters a lot as it is the 2nd ranking govt college in West Bengal after JU that a student can be admitted through WBJEE. HSC marks should be 60% marks.
I took WBJEE exam in the year 2017 and got Mechanical Engineering in the third round after having a general merit rank of 3007 and the closing rank was 3271(general category) in the Mechanical Engineering department.The closing ranks for other departments were also fair.So undoubtedly, it gets one of the best minds and the faculty here is also outstanding. Besides that, many more opportunities are also available here.
My rank in WBJEE was 4700 which falls within the cut-off in decentralized counseling. WBJEE is the required entrance examination for getting admission in this college. The cut-off for my course is usually 4200 in centralized counseling and around 5000 in decentralized counseling.
