Application process for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programme :

  • Application Form and Prospectus will be available online only.

  • Candidates have to apply online on the official website and can be download by the aspirants.

  • The Online Application Form’ will be accepted after the following steps are completed:-

    • Browse official website 

    • Select ‘Online Application’

    • Go through the Instructions to fill up the form.

    • Fill up ‘Online Application Form’ and submit.

    • Upload Photographs, Signature & 10th Mark sheet/Certificate

Admission Process for KIIT University, Bhubaneswar


Admission process for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programme:

  • The applicants have to qualify for the Individual Entrance exam of KIIT Univesity which is termed as KIITEE (KIIT Entrance Exam) for official website admissions 2019.

  • The candidates have to download the admit card from the website and have to come with the printed copy to the examination Centre.

  • Admit Cards will not be dispatched in Hard Copy.

  • Candidates must preserve the Admit Card till the admission process is over.

Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech

Candidates applying for B.Tech (4 Years) Course should fulfill the following criteria:

  • Candidates who have passed (10+2) examination are only eligible to apply for B.Tech (4 Years) course of the University.

  • Should have studied in regular full-time formal education in their schooling/college.

  • Pass in 10 +2 or its equivalent with at least 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics took together for KIIT University, Bhubaneswar admissions 2019.

  • B.Tech & M.Tech.(Dual Degree) Biotechnology. Pass in (10+2) or equivalent with at least 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology took together.

Eligibility Criteria for B.Arch

The applicant should qualify (10+2) examination from a recognized board or its equivalent subject post securing 60% marks in aggregate with mathematics as a subject at the higher secondary level and a pass in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the Council of Architecture (COA), New Delhi 2019.

Eligibility Criteria for BCA

The applicants should pass in 10+2 in any stream with at least 50% marks and be having Mathematics as one of the subjects in 10+2 level.

Eligibility Criteria for B.Des

The applicants should qualify the (10+2) in any stream with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate for KIIT University, Bhubaneswar admissions 2019.

Eligibility Criteria for B.Sc

The below mentioned are the eligibility criteria for B.Sc Nursing course :

  • The candidate has to pass (10+2) or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry & Biology and English (PCBE) with at least 45% marks in aggregate for admissions.

Eligibility Criteria for LLM

Candidate should have passed BA LLB / BBA LLB / B.Sc LLB / BL, degree or an equivalent degree from recognized university and must have secured at least 55% of marks in aggregate. 

Eligibility Criteria for MCA

  • Passed or appearing in the previous formative year, for the Bachelor's Degree examination of minimum three years duration in BCA, B.Sc (IT/Computer Science) from any university or from a recognized university as defined by UGC\and must have passed in Mathematics as a course at 10+2 level or at Graduate Level.

  • The subject of Business Mathematics at (10+2) level are not permitted.

  • The candidate should have obtained at least 50% (at qualifying Examination)

Eligibility Criteria for M.Sc

M.Sc (Biotechnology / Applied Microbiology) (2 years):

The applicant should possess a Bachelor's degree in any branch of Science/ Agriculture/ Pharmacy/ Veterinary/Engineering/Technology /Medicine (MBBS/BDS) with at least 55% marks.

M.Sc Nursing (2 Years): 

  • Candidate should be a Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council. 

  • The minimum education requirement shall be passing of B.Sc.Nursing/B.Sc.Hons.Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc Nursing with Minimum of 55% aggregate marks. (5% relaxation of marks for SC/ST candidates) 

  • The candidate should have undergone B.Sc.Nursing / B.Sc.Hons.Nursing.PostBasic 

  • B.Sc.Nursing in an institution which is recognized by Indian Nursing Council. 

  • Minimum one year of work experience after Basic B.Sc Nursing. 

  • Candidate should be medically fit. 

Eligibility Criteria for M.Tech

Electrical: Power Electronics & Drives/Power Energy & System / Power System Engineering: 

First class BE/ B.Tech or equivalent in Electrical, Electronics & Electrical , Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Tele-Comm., Electronics & Instrumentation & Electronics & Communication for KIIT University, Bhubaneswar admissions.

Computer Science & Engineering: 

Computer Science Engineering/Computer Science & Information Security/Data Analytics Engineering/Software Engineering: 

First Class BE/ B.Tech or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Tele-Comm., Electronics & Instrumentation or First Class in MCA or First Class in M.Sc Comp.Sc./ Information Technology.

 Computer Science & Information Security: 

First Class BE/B.Tech or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or First Class in MCA or First Class in M.Sc Comp.Sc./ Information Technology. 

Electronics & Tele-Communication Engg.: 

Communication Engineering/ VLSI Design & Embedded System / RS & Microwave:- First Class BE/ B.Tech, or equivalent in Electronics & Tele-Comm., Electronics & Instrumentation, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Electrical or First Class in M.Sc ( Electronics). 

Mechanical - Manufacturing Process & Systems/Thermal Engineering/Machine Design: 

First Class BE/B.Tech or equivalent in Mechanical/Production Engineering. 

Civil - Construction Engineering & Management/Structural Engineering/Geotechnical Engineering/Water Resources Engineering: 

First Class BE/B.Tech or equivalent in Civil Engineering. 

M.Sc. (Biotechnology/Applied Microbiology) (2 years): 

Bachelor's degree in any branch of Science/ Agriculture/ Pharmacy/ Veterinary/Engineering/Technology /Medicine (MBBS/BDS) with at least 55% marks. 

Eligibility Criteria for Other Courses.

Eligibility Criteria for BA LLB / BBA LLB :

  • The applicants should qualify the (10+2) pass or equivalent in any stream with at least 45% marks.
  • For B.Sc / LLB candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent in the science stream with at least 45% marks for KIIT University, Bhubaneswar admissions 2019.

  • The applicant should follow the age limit which should not be complete 21 years of age.

Master of Public Health (2Years) :

Candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in any Health Science discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

Master of Hospital Administration (2Years):

Candidate must have passed Bachelor’s degree in MBBS / BDS / BAMS / BHMS BNYS / BPT / B.Sc Nursing (Basic or Post Basic) / B.Pharm / B.Sc in Allied Health Sciences / Bachelor degree in Arts / Commerce / Science / Law from a recognized university with min. of 50% marks aggregate. 

MA (Yoga Therapy) (2 YEARS):

Candidate must have passed Bachelor's degree in Arts / Commerce / Science / Law from a recognized university with min. 50% marks aggregate.

In order to apply for BTech in KIIT, students must have physics, chemistry and maths as subjects in 12th (ISC/CBSE/HS etc.) and must have an average of 60 in these three subjects. Along with that, one has to apply for the entrance exam taken by the institution. The exam name is KIITEE. In order to join this institution, one has to register for the exam. KIITEE is an examination which does not require any examination fee. A lot of students from India and abroad apply for the examination and seats are booked according to the marks obtained in KIITEE. Top branches include computer engineering, mechanical engineering, electronics and telecom. engineering.

Like any other engineering private colleges KIIT has, it's own entrance examination known as kIITEE. Also, one can apply through jee mains too. The 30% seats are reserved for women. So for Girls, it is a great opportunity. Also, the other reservations are quite less. To qualify you got to gain a certain rank amongst all. I guess the max ranks go to 25k but as the number of branches has increased in these 2 years so has the ranks. And there is no such issue as the cutoff.

You need to score a minimum of 60 percent in your PCM subjects to get selected in this college. KIIT conducts its own enterance exam(KIIT-EE) for which the forms are free. and believe me if you are preparing for IIT-JEE it would be a cake walk for you. Then according to your marks you get your counseling letter. I am an alumina from KIIT batch 2012-2016 and my rank was 13k. And I got Electronics and Electrical engineering as my branch.. However if you need Computer Science as a branch you need to do well in your KIIT-EE. The infrastructure of the college is very good as compared to other deemed Universities.. The placements are also good. The college provided with lot of exposure in terms of personality development. But it is up to you how you may utilise it..

To be eligible for KIIT BTech course, it is necessary for the student to complete 10+2 or have a diploma degree in the course they are interested in. The admission process is easy. Students need to fill the form and give the entrance examination. The students are selected on the basis of the entrance examination and if they are not selected in the first round then there are several waiting list of students. The cutoff changes every year. But an average student can crack this examination.

You have to apply for KIITEE, which is an entrance exam for admission in KIIT University, to get admission in any of the branches you want. The eligibility criteria for applying is you should be of science stream and should have secured at least 60 percent in 12th board examinations. If you want CS/ IT branch then you need to get in upto 4000 rank holders. apart from that, you can get in any electronics brank if your rank is up to 16000.

There is only one entrance exam KIITEE which is conducted by KIIT University itself. You have to pay nothing to fill up the form. Rank which you scored in the exam according to that you will be allotted the dates of your counseling, from where you can follow the counseling procedure and seats already being allotted to all other students. If you score good rank or within 10,000 then you can get 1st counseling date and you can easily choose your branch according to your choice.

  • Eligibility criteria to get into Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology is 60% in the 12th board in 3 subjects ( physics, chemistry, maths ) Entrance exam - KIITEE/AIEEE/OJEE.

  • Admission Procedure: KIIT conducts their own engineering exam which is known as KIITEE. There is no application fee for this entrance exam. One needs to clear this entrance exam for getting admission in KIIT.
  • Eligibility Criteria: Candidate should have passed 10+2 with at least 60% marks. The main subjects of the candidate should be Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Moreover, the candidate should have passed 12th at max two years before appearing for KIITEE.
  • Syllabus: KIITEE syllabus is very similar to 11th and 12th class CBSE syllabus. One needs to attempt 120 question (40 question of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics each) in 180 minutes time limit.
  • Cutoff: KIIT will not disclose the cutoff marks but will start with the counseling procedure on the basis of rank you secured in KIITEE. You need to get a rank of about 4000.

  • The eligibility criteria are 60% marks in 12th. The admission procedure is that you have to appear for KIITEE. If you pass the entrance exam then you can attend the counselling for admission.
  • The entrance exam for getting Kalinga Institue of Industrial Technology is KIITEE.
  • The typical cutoff for Computer science & IT is 3000 & below. For Mechanical it is till 5500 rank & more if the seats are vacant, for Electrical it is till 10,000 and for Civil, it is till 25,000.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

 10+2 pass with Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English with at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together for general category candidates and 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together for SC/ST Candidates. 
Age: Lower age should be 17 years as on 31.12.14 & upper age limit should be maximum 25 years as on 31.12.14. The upper age limit may be relaxed by five year for SC/ST candidates. 

The total fee is INR 3,57,500 per year
