Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination conducted by a recognized Board/University.
The final examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services wing of the National Defence Academy.
General Certificate Education(GCE) examination(London/Cambridge/Srilanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.H.S.C vocational examination.
Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of five subjects.
A Diploma recognized by AICTE or a state board of technical education of at least 3-year duration.
Any Public School/Board/University examination in India or in any foreign country recognized as equivalent to the (10+2) system by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
MBA Port & Shipping Management / MBA in International Transportation Logistics Management :
The applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks from Recognized universities.
A minimum of 50% marks in English subject in 10th / 12th / UG Degree will be appreciated for IMU Chennai admissions 2019.
In case of SC/ST candidates, there will be a 5% relaxation in eligibility marks, however, it will not apply to English marks.
For B.Sc (Natural Science) :
The applicants should have qualify (10+2) Secondary and Higher Secondary equivalent with a minimum of 60% in the PCM Subjects from a recognised board for IMU Chennai admissions #admissions_year.
The applicants having the degree of B.Sc (PCM) / B.Sc (Electronics with Physics as individual subject in one of the years) should have a minimum of 50% in the corresponding courses.
The applicants having credentials from B.E./B.Tech from IIT or college recognised by AICTE should have a minimum of 50% marks.
For B.Sc (Nautical Science):
The applicants should qualify the (10+2) Secondary and Higher Secondary Schooling equivalent with PCM-60% & English- 50% as the specifics of the subjects and percentage requirements.
In case of SC/ST candidates, there will be a 5% relaxation in eligibility marks, with the exception of English marks to be constrained.
All applicants to the above UG programmes i.e. to B.Sc (Applied Nautical Science), 3-year B.Sc (Nautical Science) need to fulfil the guidelines of the Director-General of Shipping, Mumbai with regard to physical fitness
A person must have passed 12th class with an aggregate of 60 percent. The person should be medically fit as per DG (director general) of shipping. A person also has to write IMUCET entrance exam. IMUCET cutoff was 60% as PCM aggregate.
The eligibility criteria for B.sc Nautical science is the candidate should have 60% PCM in 12 and 50% in English either in 10 or 12. The entrance exam for Indian maritime university is the IMU CET(common entrance test). The typical cutoffs should be more than 75%.
