For IIM Ranchi MBA admission 2024, candidates must have a bachelor's degree with 50% aggregate marks from a recognised university. Candidates must have a valid CAT score to get shortlisted for the Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds.

IIM Ranchi Ph.D Admission
IIM Ranchi admission is offered to a four-year Ph.D program in eight specialisations. An IIM Ranchi Ph.D student gets a monthly stipend of INR 30,000 in the first and second years and INR 35,000 (after qualifying the comprehensive examinations) in the third and fourth years. Students also get a one-time INR 50,000 to purchase a laptop and a contingency allowance of INR 1,00,000 spread over four years.
The Ph.D specialisations are Accounting & Finance; Economics; General Management -Business Law, Business Ethics, Regulatory Environment & Business Communication; Information Systems & Business Analytics; Marketing Management; Organizational Behavior & Human Resource Management; Operations Management; and Strategic Management.

IIM Ranchi offers admission to various management courses like MBA, EMBA, IPM, PhD, etc. The IIM Ranchi selection process is unique for every course. - The PGP/ MBA, MBA-HR, and MBA-Business Analytics courses have two rounds of the selection process. In the first round, candidates are shortlisted for the personal interview round based on their CAT scores. A consolidated merit list is prepared based on the CAT score, PI score, and overall candidate profile in the second or final round.
- The EMBA course has only one round of the selection process. Candidates are selected based on their performance in the personal interview round.
- For IPM, candidates will be shortlisted based on the IPMAT (conducted by IIM Indore) scores. Then, a merit list will be prepared based on the IPMAT score, PI, and academic profile score.
- The PhD and Executive PhD selection is based on valid CAT/ GATE/ GRE/ GMAT/ NET-JRF (UGC/ CSIR) scores, followed by a personal interview.
- The selection of the PDFM course is based on on-campus presentations and personal interviews.
- For the EFM course, candidates are shortlisted based on the IIM Ranchi eligibility criteria.
- The final selection for most certificate programs is based on candidate profile scoring, as highlighted on the application form.
