General Requirements for Postgraduate Application Process 2019

PGPM (Post Graduate Programme in Management) / EPGP (Executive Post Graduate Programme)

  • Application forms may be downloaded online from the IIM Kozhikode for the year 2019.

  • In the official website register to generate the Username, Password and Registration number.

  • The application fee can be paid through bank draft for Rs 2000 (as processing fee) drawn in favor of "Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode".

  • Foreign candidates will be required to route their applications through the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.

  • Filled applications must be sent to the address: Admissions Office, Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode, IIMK Campus P. O., Kozhikode 673 570, Kerala, India.

  • Save the application form and submit it.

  • On the day of entrance bring the copy of the filled form, original academic record, and work experience with one copy of self-attested documents. Documents required are mentioned below:

    • Two copies of the duly signed application form.

    • Online fee receipt copy.

    • One passport size photograph (write your name and registration number on the back side).

    • Mark sheet and certificate (Self-attested).

    • CAT or GMAT scorecard.

    • Copies of Photo identity proof, work experience, Employee ID Card, Category/ Relaxation Certificate (Self-attested).

FPM (Fellow Program in Management) / MDP (Management Development Program)

  • Download the application form online from the college website.

  • Pay the application fee of INR 1000 drawn in favor of "Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode".

  • Fee can be paid through an online payment gateway.

  • Along with the application form, Scanned copies of Marks sheets, category certificate, and Entrance Scorecard has to be uploaded. 

  • A recommendation letter can also be uploaded by the reference directly to IIM Kozhikode if necessary.

General Requirements for Postgraduate Admissions 2019

PGPM (Post Graduate Programme in Management) / EGPG (Executive Post Graduate Programme) / FPM (Fellow Program in Management) / MDP (Management Development Program)

  • Indian Institute of Management has a 2 stage selection criteria briefly described in the official website for the year 2019

  • It includes extensive evaluation of candidates’ Aptitude/ Academic and Professional Achievements,  CAT / GMAT score and Interview.

  • Along with this the selection criteria includes Group Discussion (GD) a Written Ability test (WAT), and Individual profile.

  • Qualified candidates are called by the college to attend the GD/WAT and Personal Interview with a valid CAT score.

  • Cut off score of CAT is 95 percentile for General category candidates and however lesser for Reserved Categories.

  • The main criteria for selection of EGPG programme is a valid mark in EMAT (Executive Management Aptitude Test)/ CAT or GMAT followed by a Personal Interview.

Eligibility Criteria for Postgraduate Courses

PGP (Post Graduate Program)

  • Applicants who are willing to pursue PGPM must have a valid score in CAT followed by an interview that is mandatory.

  • Bachelor’s degree holder with 50% mark (45% for SC/ST/ PWD) from a recognized university is one of the eligibility criteria.

  • Dual degree holders (B.Tech+ M.Tech/ BS+MS) or CA/ ICWAI/ CS qualified candidates can also apply with respect to the fulfillment of mandatory requirements.

  • Final year students or those awaiting their Bachelor’s degree final year results are also eligible to apply.

  • International candidates (Indian nationals / Foreign nationals) can also apply for the programme if they have a valid score in GMAT (with a valid passport or travel documents).

  • Applicants with following Bachelors degree and relevant aggregate score are eligible to apply for FPM course in IIM, Kozhikode:

    • Candidates with B.Tech / BE degree with at least 60% (55% for Reserved Categories) marks.

    • MBBS or LL.B degree holders with at least 55% (45% for Reserved Categories) marks.

    • CA, ICWA and CS with at least 50% (45% for Reserved Categories) marks or equivalent

    • PG degree in any discipline (including M.A, M.Sc., M.Com, MBA, MCA, M.Tech, etc) with at least 55% (50% for Reserved Categories) marks in aggregate.

  • All applicants must have a valid score in any of the Entrance tests such as CAT / GMAT / GRE / UGC NET / JRF, followed by a Personal Interview (PI) process.

Eligibility Criteria and Admission Process
  • Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode takes CAT scores as qualification criteria. It first declares an initial shortlist which includes everyone who has scored above a certain percentile in CAT. The initial shortlist candidates are required to fill in their academic details and discipline. IIM Kozhikode then declares another shortlist based on these criteria plus CAT score with different weights to components. The shortlisted students are required to go through written aptitude test followed by group discussion and interview. Each of these has different weights in final selection along with CAT score.

To get into the institute one has to crack an exam called common admission test. One has to score in the range of 98 and above percentile to get an interview call. Once he clears the interview, he can attend the college.
