Eligibility Criteria for Admissions for B.Sc:

Eligibility Criteria for Admission to Bachelor of Science [B.Sc Botany, B.Sc. Biotechnology, B.Sc. Chemistry]:

  • Candidates seeking admission must pass the intermediate (10+2 level) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology from a recognized education council/board.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission to Bachelor of Science [B.Sc Mathematics, B.Sc. Statistics, B.Sc. Computer Science]:

  • Candidates seeking admission must pass the intermediate (10+2 level) with Mathematics/Computer Science from a recognized education council/board. 

Eligibility Criteria for Admission to Bachelor of Business Management [BBM]:

  • Candidates seeking admission must have cleared the intermediate (10+2 level) from a recognized education council/board.
  • Preference of admissions will be given to candidates who have studied Commerce/Business related subjects in the qualifying examination.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission to Bachelor of Commerce [B.Com]:

  • Candidates seeking admission must have cleared the intermediate (10+2 level) from a recognized education council/board.
  • Preference of admissions will be given to candidates who have studied Commerce/Business related subjects in the qualifying examination.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission to Bachelor of Education [B.Ed]:

  • Candidates seeking admission must have cleared the intermediate (10+2 level) from this university or any other UGC recognized university.
  • Candidates must clear the entrance examination conducted by the university for admission to B.Ed.

Bachelor of Arts [BA] (History), Bachelor of Arts [BA] (Political Science) & Bachelor of Arts [BA] (Economics)

  • Candidate must have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (10+2 level) from a recognized education council/board.
  • Preference of admissions will be given to candidates who have studied Arts/Humanities subjects in the qualifying examination.

Bachelor of Library & Information Science [B.Lib.I.Sc]:

Candidates seeking admission must have graduated with any bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks to be eligible for B.Lib.I.Sc.


Bachelor of Social Work [BSW]:

  • Candidate must have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (10+2 level) from a recognized education council/board.
  • Preference of admissions will be given to candidates who have studied Arts/Humanities subjects in the qualifying examination.

 

 

Application Procedure for UG Course Admissions:

  • Candidates seeking admission can obtain the application forms and prospectus from the Office of the Dean, Academic Affairs, Dravidian University.
  • Candidates seeking admission can also download the application form from the university website 
  • Those who download the application form must enclose a DD of Rs.300/- (for general/BC category) and Rs. 200/- (for SC/ST/Differently Abled candidates) drawn from any nationalized Bank (preferably Andhra Bank) in favor of the Registrar, Dravidian University, Kuppam, payable at Andhra Bank, Dravidian University Branch, Kuppam - 0001539.
  • The candidate must choose the course they seek admission for. Registration fee once paid will not be refunded or readjusted to any other program.
  • Full tuition fee will be refunded if any student cancels his/her admission before the commencement of classes. Only 75% of the full tuition fee of that year will be refunded if the student cancels his/her admissions after the commencement of classes, even if the student discontinues in the first year or second year of the course.

Documents to be Enclosed with Completed Application Forms:

  • Transfer Certificate, Conduct Certificate, S.S.C & Intermediate Pass Certificates, Degree Marks & Provisional Certificates.
  • Original Caste Certificate (Permanent or Latest obtained from the M.R.O/Tahsildar).
  • Income Certificate.
  • Relevant Certificate for Differently Abled.
  • Relevant Certificate for NCC/NSS/Games & Sports.
  • Discharge Certificate and Service Certificate of the parent in case of Children of Armed personnel.
  • Migration Certificate (for other university candidates).
  • 4 Passport size recent photographs.
  • Two Self-addressed Post-Cards.
  • Two 9 x 20 cms Self-addressed covers with Rs.5/- postal stamps affixed on them.

Admission Process for UG Courses:

  • Selection for admission to all UG courses will be via merit on the basis of performance in the qualifying examination (10+2 level).
  • Admissions for B.Ed will be on the basis of an entrance examination conducted by the university.

Reservation Criteria:

  • 15% of total admissions will be reserved for SC candidates and 6% admissions will be reserved for ST candidates. However, if there are not enough candidates under this reservation, the admissions will be considered under general category.
  • 29% of total admissions will be reserved for the candidates belonging to backward classes. However, if there are not enough candidates under this reservation, the admissions will be considered under general category.
  • One-third of the admissions under each category (SC/ST/OBC/Special/Local or Non-Local) will be reserved for women candidates.
  • 3% of total admissions are reserved for the visually handicapped/hearing impaired/Orthopedically Handicapped candidates.
  • 2% seats are reserved for the children of armed persons (Ex-Servicemen, Defence Personnel including the Children of Border Security Force and the Central Reserve Police Force) residing in Andhra Pradesh for a minimum period of 5 years.
  • 1% of admissions are reserved for NCC candidates, 1% of admissions for NSS candidates and 1% for sports/games candidates.
  • 10% of admissions will be reserved for candidates from Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka and Pondicherry. The selection will be based on a common entrance test conducted by the university.
