Eligibility Criteria for BA, B.Sc & B.Com:

Age Limit for the applicants seeking admission:-

  • The applicants should be of maximum 22 years and 27 years for General, OBC and SC/ST, PC categories respectively for B.A., B.Sc., B.Com, B.B.A., B.Pharm., B.C.A., B.Sc., B.Ed, B.A. and BFA.
  • The applicants/candidates should be of maximum 30 years for B.L.I.Sc.  and B.J. courses.

Educational Qualifications:-

  • The applicants seeking admissions for any the above-mentioned courses under General or OBC category who wish to seek admission in B.A. /B.Com. /B.B.A./B.Sc./B.C.A./B.Pharma./ B.A. L.L.B.(Hons) B.A.-B.Ed. and B.Sc.-B.Ed., Integrated/Bachelor of Fine Arts(BFA) or B.A.LL.B. (Hon)  course must have cleared 10th grade and plus two as well or should have cleared equivalent examinations with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks from any recognized board of studies institution.
  • The applicants seeking admissions under General or OBC category in LL.B. (6 Semesters or 3 Years) or B.J. or B.L.I.Sc. the course must have cleared their 10th grade, plus two and their under graduation course or equivalent examinations with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks from any recognized board of the institution.

Bachelor of Library and Information Science [B.Lib.I.Sc] , Bachelor of Arts + Bachelor of Laws [B.A.L.L.B.] {Hons} & Bachelor of Arts [BA] (Education):

Age Limit for the applicants seeking admission:-

  • The applicant/candidate should be of maximum 22 years and 27 years for General, OBC and SC/ST or PC categories respectively for B.A., B.Sc., B.Com., B.B.A., B.Pharm., B.C.A., B.Sc., B.Ed, B.A.Ed., or BFA.
  • The applicants should be maximum 30 years for B.L.I.Sc. or B.J. courses.

Application process for BA , B.Sc & B.Com:

Step 1:

All the applicants seeking admission have to visit the University website and choose the prescribed option for ’Application for Admission/Entrance Test’.

Step 2:

  • The applicants seeking admission must have to select the “Online Admission Form” for filling up of the application form.
  • All the details regarding preferable course along with other personal details should be filled up by the applicant seeking admission. The information must be complete and valid. Contact details must be carefully filled in so as to receive the confirmation SMS or e-mail.
  • The applicants are supposed to fill in the required category of reserved or unreserved for claiming of quota.

Step 3:

  • The applicants seeking admission have to attach their Passport Size colour Photo and signature image.
  • Before clicking the submit button after uploading his/her picture, the applicants seeking admission must check all the details that have been mentioned in the particulars column.

Step 4:

  • After successful completion of application form, the applicants seeking admissions for this course may proceed with the payment options for further registration.
  • The application fee for Under Graduation Entrance test is Rs. 800/- for General, OBC and PC candidates and Rs. 400/- for SC and ST candidates. The benefit of fee relaxation will be given to the SC/ST candidates
  • In order to make the payment, the applicants seeking admission may select their payment gateway through MP Online authorised KIOSK, Net Banking, ATM cum Debit Card or Credit Cards.
  • Once the payment is done, candidates may take a print copy of their payment receipt

Admission Process for BA, B.Sc & B.Com: 

Selection of candidates for counseling will be conducted purely on merit basis, i.e. marks obtained by the applicants seeking admission in the entrance test. All the applicants must reach up to the minimum qualifying marks in his/her category in order to fulfill the qualification criteria.

  • The counseling and admission process will commence soon after the declaration of the entrance exam results. Counseling of certain courses that have professional/technical nature will be conducted online.
  • The counseling process will involve spot allocation of seat & subject combination as per the seats available in that subject group combination that will be done keeping in mind the merit criteria.
  • The applicants seeking admission must appear in person at the time of counseling along with all the required testimonies and original documents for verification purposes. Documents for verification include High School Marks-sheet and Certificate of Age, Income, Caste, Intermediate (plus two) or equivalent Mark sheet and Certificate (if issued), 10th grade, plus two and under graduation degree marks-sheet and degree Certificate of Reservation, Transfer Certificate, Migration Certificate (if issued by the Board) and Admit card of respective Entrance Test of such applicant seeking admission.

Entrance Test:

Duration for the entrance test conducted for the applicants seeking admission is 120 minutes[approx]

  • The University will conduct a single entrance test for all the undergraduate courses.
  • The question paper will carry a total of 200 marks, including a set of 100 multiple choice questions (MCQs). The questions will be of the 10th grade and plus two intermediate level.
  • There will be no negative marking in the entrance test. Unmarked or multiple answered questions will be considered incorrect.

Reservation:

Seat Reservation:

  • As per the guidelines from the Govt. of India, seats for SC, ST, OBC-NIL and PC categories of applicants seeking admission will be reserved.
  • The applicants seeking admissions belonging to the reserved categories will compete for seats reserved as follows;-

    OBC (NCL) - 27%

    sc-15%

    ST-7.5%

 

  • 3% seats are reserved within each of the categories (General, ST, SC and OBC) for Physically Challenged (PC) applicants seeking admission.
  • The University has granted 5% seat reservation for Widows, wards or wives of the Armed Forces Personnel and Ex-Servicemen of such applicants seeking admission.
  • Foreign applicants seeking admission may be granted direct admission in the preferred courses under the DASA scheme and after the results of medical tests that have to be conducted for all foreign candidates/applicants seeking admission.

Notes:

The applicants seeking admission must produce all the original documents before the counseling committee for verification within the specified time. Failure to do so will result in cancellation of admission for that applicant.

  • All applicants seeking admission must carry their admit cards at the time of entrance test for identification. No applicant seeking admission shall be allowed to sit for the exam without their admit card.
  • No gadgets of any kind are allowed inside the examination halls.
  • The applicants seeking admission must be active on the University website so as to update themselves about the admission process and other changes time to time.
