Eligibility Criteria at Deshbandhu College, Delhi University, New Delhi:

Eligibility Criteria for B.A, and B.Sc:

A candidate who has passed one of the following examinations can be considered for admission to the first year of B.A/B.Sc Course:

  • Senior School Certificate Examination (Class XII) of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi or an examination recognized as equivalent.
  • Pre-University Examination (2 years after 10 years of schooling) of an Indian University recognized by the University of Delhi

                                                          OR

  • Intermediate Examination of an Indian University/Board or an examination recognized as equivalent.
  • General Certificate of Education Examination of the U.K. (a) Passed in five subjects at Ordinary level. and (b) At least in two subjects at the Advanced level. These two advanced courses may either be chosen from among the five Ordinary level subjects or from outside this group as prescribed by the University of Delhi.
  • For Candidates seeking admission in Arts courses should have a minimum aggregate of 45% in 3 best elective subjects.
  • For Candidates seeking admission in Science courses should have a minimum aggregate of 55% in PCM and 50% in English.

Eligibility Criteria for MA:

  • The candidate should have passed B.A or equivalent qualification in the desired subject from a recognized university or college.

Eligibility Criteria for M.Sc:

  • The candidate should have passed B.Sc or equivalent qualification in the desired subject from a recognized university or college.

The fees for the courses are different as the field of study.

Application Process at Deshbandhu College, Delhi University, New Delhi:

Application Process for BA, B.Sc, MA, and M.Sc:

  • Candidates are selected based on the cut off list which will be updated on the college official website.
  • Eligible candidates are required to fill the College Admission Form available from the office counter at the time of admission.
  • When applying to any regular course at Deshbandhu College, in the first instance, students need not fill any form other than the Pre-admission Form, except for those seeking admission on the basis of Excellence in Sports and Extracurricular Activities.
  • Age requirement will be based on University rules.
  • Candidates have to visit the college official website to obtain an overview of the college and details of the selection criteria which would form the basis of admission.

Admission Process at Deshbandhu College, Delhi University, New Delhi:

Admission Process for BA, B.Sc, MA, and M.Sc:

  • The applicants are required to submit the following self-attested documents along with the application form in original.
  • Merit list of the candidates selected for admission shall be notified on the College official Website.
  • After the cut-off lists are announced, the candidates selected for admission to the college are required to fill the Deshbandhu College Pre - Admission Form before they can be admitted to the college. This form will be available at the time of admission at the college counter.

The applicants shall be required to submit the following self-attested documents along with the application form in original:

  • Class X Board Examination Certificate.
  • Class X Marks Sheet.
  • Class XII Marks Sheet.
  • Class XII Provisional Certificate / Original Certificate.
  • Character Certificate (recent).
  • SC / ST Certificate (in the name of the candidate) issued by the competent authority.
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Certificate (in the name of the Candidate) issued by competent authority.
  • Transfer Certificate from school/college, as well as Migration Certificate from Board /University, are required from those students who have passed the senior secondary exam from outside Delhi.
  • Three passport size self-attested photographs.
