MBA & EMBA

  • The application form will be available on the website DEPARTMENT OF MANAGEMENT STUDIES, IIT MADRAS  for the year 2019

  • Interested candidates can apply online and register with candidates preferred specialization.

  • Application form can be filled online with a payment of INR 1600 (INR 800 for SC / ST / PD) through Debit / Credit Card or Net-Banking.

 MS by Research & Ph.D. 

  • Candidates may apply for admissions by visiting the official website.

  • Pay the requisite fee of INR 100 for MS by Research & Ph.D. (INR 50 for SC/ST/ Female/ PD) by Credit/ Debit Card or Net-Banking.

Admission Process for MBA

  • Composite Score for admission process will be calculated with due weights to CAT score, Past academic performance, Work experience, Academic Diversity and Gender.

  • Candidates from all categories shortlisted based on the composite score shall be called for a Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI).

  • The Final Selection will be with due weights to each of the components such as:

Admission Process for Executive MBA

  • The admission process is given in detail on the official website for the year 2019.

  • The EMBA course requires a good score in the Entrance test conducted by DOMS (Department Of Management studies).

  • Final selection will be purely based on the interview round.

Admission Process for Other Courses.

MS by Research & Ph.D.

  • Applicants who passes  the eligibility criteria will be called for further admission process.
  • Candidates will be shortlisted based on:

    • Academic Performance

    • Research Proposal

  • In final selection, candidates may have to attend Personal Interview followed by  Research Aptitude Test on the day of the interview.

Eligibility Criteria for MBA

  • The candidate with a valid score in the Common Admissions Test (CAT) conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management(IIM) can apply for the programme.

  • UnderGraduates in any discipline with first class or 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PD) earned in their degree from a reputed University are eligible to apply.

  • Final year students (of the above-mentioned programme) are also eligible to apply if they met all the eligibility criteria mentioned.

  • IIT Graduates who have obtained a CGPA of 8 and above on 10 are exempted from CAT score.

  • For non-resident Indian and Foreign National students, the GMAT score is made valid.

  • Company Sponsered Candidate with minimum two-year experience can apply.

  • Candidates are provided category wise reservation with respect to the aggregate score obtained in UG.

St. Xavier’s College – Autonomous, affiliated to the University of Mumbai, runs the BA, BSc, BCom, MA and MSc Government Aided Degree Courses on Campus. The College also runs the BMM, BMS, BSc I.T., M.Sc. Biotechnology and MA Public Policy, Degree Courses on a Self-Financing Basis. The College has also introduced the UGC sponsored B.Voc Degree Coursesin Tourism and in Software Development from the academic year 2014-2015.  The University of Mumbai awards degrees for all these courses.

Certificate or Diploma courses in Clinical Research, Forensic Science, Criminal Investigation and in Counselling Psychology etc are also held in collaboration with other Institutions or groups.

Admissions to most degree courses, except those explicitly specified (the BMM and BMS and the MA Ancient Indian Culture and MA Public Policy, and M.Sc Life Sciences), are done on the basis of the overall percentage of Marks scored in the Qualifying Examination. If the Qualifying Examination awards Grades, these are converted into percentages according to a scale provided by the University of Mumbai.

The College is a Catholic Minority College, administered under the Provisions of the Indian Constitution, to promote the welfare of the Minority community and to extend its services to all other communities in India, so as to contribute to the harmony and integration of Indian society. 50% of seats are reserved for Catholic Minority students. As per the directives of the Government of Maharashtra, there is also a reservation for Special category students and for Backward Class students. The rest of the seats are for students from the General Category.

Applications for Admissions to all the Under-graduate Degree courses are done online through a facility on this website, located on the Homepage. This facility will be available from 20th May 2016 a few days before the declaration of the HSC results in Mumbai. This date is uncertain and is normally in the first part of June. Admissions will actually be done on days to be announced, through an interview of the candidate and one parent/guardian, of those listed on the website and on the College Notice board as being offered admission.

 
Applications for Admissions to all the Post-graduate Degree courses are also done online through a facility on this website, located on the Homepage. This facility will be available from 20th May, 2016 (except for M.A. in Public Policy which will be activated sometime inMarch 2016)  till such time the B.A./B.Sc. Degree results of Mumbai University are declared.  This date too is uncertain and is normally sometime in June. Admissions will actually be done on days to be announced through an interview of the candidate and one parent/guardian, of those listed on the website and on the College Notice board. Once the dates of the interviews are announced, outstation students are requested to make travel arrangements in advance, even before the merit lists are declared, as your presence for the interview is essential.
Applications for Admissions to the BMS and BMM courses are done online, and the admission process includes an Entrance Exam and Interview. Details are displayed on this website. Online applications for these two courses are accepted from the 1st of May 2016 to the 30th May 2016.

Admissions to the B.Com course are done through the College office, by filling up and submitting a form for the same in June 2016, and through an interview with the Vice Principal of the Commerce section or his representative. The Commerce Section holds classes in the late evening from 5.50 pm to 9.20 pm. It is not meant for the regular student. It is specially designed to offer higher education to working students of a disadvantaged background.
