  • The student can apply in College of Engineering Anna University through NRI quota where candidates apply with their CBSE or Tamil Nadu State Board PCM cutoffs. A rank list was published based on the PCM cutoffs of all applied candidates and the selection of courses was based on the availability of seats in the respective course when the candidate's respective rank appears. Mechanical engineering had 14 seats reserved for candidates through NRI quota. With a PCM cutoff of 190, I was ranked 64 out of the 200 ought applicants through NRI quota. I was lucky to grab the last seat in Mechanical

A good balanced percentage above 75% is essential, no entrance exam is required. I did mechanical engineering. To study in top most colleges a healthy cut off of 85% or more is required.

Admission Process of College of Engineering, Anna University are given below please check

Eligibility:

  • You need to obtain a minimum of 50% marks in each Physics, Chemistry & Maths. For Marine engineering, however, you need 60% marks in these 3 subject plus 50% in English.

Admission Process:

Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions or TNEA in short, is a department of Anna University that looks after admissions to B.E & B.Tech courses in engineering colleges all over the state. All colleges which are under Anna University admit students based on their PCM scores in 12th standard board examination. Unlike most other states, there is NO separate entrance test in Tamil Nadu.
