Master of Arts [MA] (English) with Communication Studies, batch of 2019
Eligibility Criteria and Admission Process

Christ (Deemed to be) University, Bangalore, is indisputably one of the prestigious institutions of the city. I was intrigued by the combination of  MA in English with Communication Studies, which was a perfect blend of English Literature and Media Studies. The cut-off for applying for the course was above 75% in the undergraduate degree of any field. The admission procedure was a two-step process, a written test for 10 minutes and a personal interview with the faculties followed by that. The questions were largely based on English literature and my areas of interest in the same. The admission is given based on the test and how well you perform in the personal interview. The results of the same will be published within 3 days via email or SMS. Studying in Christ, in the Department of English which celebrated its decennial year in 2018-19, and interacting with the faculty has helped me in widening my perspectives and knowledge. Also, participating in various extracurricular activities has provided me with a platform to explore beyond the books.

Bachelor of Business Administration [BBA] (Finance), batch of 2017
6/10
Eligibility Criteria and Admission Process

Entrance exams and interviews are conducted across the country but due to high number of students applying recently, it is tough to get a city of your choice. All students who apply need to sit for the interview, regardless of their score in the entrance test. Entrance tests aren't very tough but have now become very competitive because of the rising popularity of the college across the country. Board exam scores are mostly irrelevant apart from the basic eligibility criteria of having at least 60%.

Bachelor of Arts [BA] (Journalism, Psychology and English), batch of 2018
7/10
Eligibility Criteria and Admission Process

The course I opted for was a triple major in three respective subjects - Journalism, Psychology and English so that later I could pursue my Masters' in whichever direction suited my goals best. For entrance there was an interview in Kolkata where they asked me my interest towards the particular subjects concerned, and why I opted for Humanities when I was previously a Science student . They also wanted to know about whether I'd be comfortable migrating , and inquired me about my discplinary issues as well. There was no entrance examination, but the eligibility criteria required 70% in board exams of the 12th grade.

Bachelor of Arts [BA], batch of 2015

Eligibility Criteria and Admission Process

You need to be a 12th standard pass to be eligible for this course, and your grades need to be above a minimum of 60% (at least that was the cut off in 2012). There is no test involved, but there is an interview conducted by the faculty of your potential course. The interview is fairly typical and centers around gauging your personality, though there are a couple, of course, related questions.
