Eligibility criteria for B.Tech:

  • The applicants should be of Indian nationality.
  • The candidate should be bonafide residents of Gujarat.
  • If the applicants are living in some other state but are bonafide residents of Gujarat, then he/she will be eligible for admission.
  • The applicant will be eligible for admission if his/her parents are of Gujarat origin and are serving out of the state in the service of Central Government or other State Government, Armed Forces, Boards or Cooperations owned or controlled by the Central or State or any nationalized bank.
  • The candidate must have completed 10+2 (or equivalent) examination from the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, Gandhinagar/ CBSE, Delhi/ CISCE, New Delhi/ NIOS/ International School Board.
  • If the applicants have not completed their 10+2 examination but will complete it, then these applicants will also be eligible for admission.
  • The applicants will have to secure 45% marks in the 10+2 qualifying examination in case of general category.
  • In 10+2 (or equivalent) examination, the reserved category applicants will have to score 40% marks.

Eligibility criteria for M.Tech:

  • Candidates are required to pass the Bachelor of Engineering and Bachelor of Technology program in the discipline in their respective discipline.
  • General category candidates are required to score 50% marks while those belonging to Schedule Caste, Schedule Tribe, SEBC should have scored 45%. 
  • Those candidates who have passed their 12th standard examination in Gujarat are eligible.
  • Candidates who have cleared the GATE exam are eligible to fill the Gujarat PGCET application form online and they need not take the entrance test.

Application Process for B.Tech:

Step 1 - Obtaining the User ID:

  • Candidates must obtain a DD for Rs 300 as application fees.
  • The DD must be in favor of "Secretary, Gujarat Common Entrance Test Cell, Gandhinagar" from any nationalized bank payable at Gandhinagar.
  • Candidates are advised to take a copy of the DD and note the details also before submitting it at the designated help centers.
  • After obtaining a DD for the GUJCET application fees, candidates must visit any of the help centers.
  • They must submit the DD and their details as specified to obtain their USER ID for the GUJCET Registration and application form.
  • They will have to use this user ID to log in and fill the GUJCET Application Form.

 Step 2 – Online Registration:

  • The applicants can click on the given link to access GUJCET application form to fill the application form.
  • Submission of User ID and Password has to be done by the applicants. 
  • Click on Login to proceed.

Step 3 – Filling the Application Form:

 The applicants will have to fill the application form with all of the required information. Incorrect or incomplete application forms will be rejected by the admission committee. All information provided has to be according to the documents possessed by the applicants. The following information has to be submitted by the applicants:

Step 4 – Uploading of Scanned Documents:

  • The scanned photograph and signature of the applicants as per the specifications mentioned by the admission committee will have to be uploaded by the applicants.
  • The documents must be uploaded properly otherwise the application form will not be accepted.

 Step 5 – Submission of form:

  • Submission of the GUJCET application form has to be done by the applicants after reviewing all of their provided information.
  • The application number will be generated after successful submission which will be sent to the registered email address of the applicant.
  • The applicants will be able to access their filled application form of GUJCET and take a print out for future use by logging in using their generated application number, date of birth along with the security pin.

Application Process for M.Tech:

Steps to Fill Gujarat PGCET Application Form:

  • The candidates will have to register themselves by selecting their course name, user id and 14 digit PIN. 
  • Submission of basic details, qualifying exam details, GATE details and more has to be entered. 
  • Scanned photograph has to be uploaded.
  • After checking all of the filled information, the candidates will be able to submit the application form of Gujarat PGCET.
  • Before applying online, the candidates have to buy PIN cover which consisted of the User ID and the 14 digit PIN.
  • Both the credentials were required during registration. 
  • The candidates have to make a payment of Rs 1000 in cash that candidates at the designated branches of Kotak Mahindra Bank. 
  • Candidates are required to use the pin to fill the application form where they need to fill their academic qualifications and personal details.
  • It is important for candidates who have cleared the GATE exam to fill the Gujarat PGCET application form.
  • It is imperative for candidates to take a hard copy or printed copy of the registration form and it had to be duly signed by the candidates.
  • Candidates are required to report at the designated help centers with the application form and self- attested certificates
  • Candidates have to carry the acknowledgment slip with them, once they submitted the application form at the help centers.

Admission Process for B.Tech:

  • All selected applicants, whose names have been listed in the merit list have to register themselves online for the counseling session.
  • Before registering themselves, the candidates had to pay the counselling fees at one of the listed banks and obtain the PIN. 
  • GUJCET Counselling will be conducted in online mode.
  • The applicants are required to select their preference of colleges and courses online.
  • The allotment of seats will be done on the basis of the merit, category of the applicant and availability of seats during counselling.
  • After the applicants are successfully allotted, the allotment list will be published online.
  • The applicants have to print out the information letter.
  • The tuition fees have to be paid by the applicants to confirm the allotment.
  • After being successfully allotted, the applicants have to submit the self-attested copies of the following documents along with the printout of the registration form at the Help Centre:
  • 10th Standard Mark Sheet
  • 12th Standard Mark Sheet
  • GUJCET 2020 Result
  • School Leaving or Transfer Certificate
  • Category Certificate (if applicable)
  • Certificate of Income issued by the authority empowered by the State of Government in this behalf.
  • Photograph of the applicant for other State/other than Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary School Examination Board
  • Other certificates as the admission committee deem necessary.

Admission Process for M.Tech:

  • There will be two rounds of counseling for Gujarat PGCET (excluding mock allotment), which basically comprises of choice filling of the program and allocation of seats.
  • Candidates are required to fill their choices by logging in using their PIN no and the password.
  • Mock allotment of seats will be held and it is here that candidates will have the option to change their choice of program or institute.
  • Allotment of seats will depend on the choice filled by candidates and rank secured by them.
  • On allotment of seat, candidates will be required to download the bank challan and pay admission fees of Rs 10000.
  • Candidates are required to carry the fee receipt to the help centers and they will be issued a provisional admission letter.
  • Candidates will have to pay the remaining fees at the college allotted to them.
