  1. Visit the official website of the college.
  2. Candidates who want to take up MBBS will have to register for the NEET-UG exam
  3. Whereas, graduates who want to do their PG course will have to register for NEET-PG
  4. For nursing and other special courses, candidates will have to go to the official website and fill out the application form.
  5. Application fee for NEET-PG is INR 1400/- for general candidates and INR 750/- for SC/ST students.
  6. Application fee for NEET-PG is INR 3750/- for general candidates and INR 2750/- for SC/ST students.
  7. The application fee should be paid online.

AFMC Admission Fees

Depending on the course you choose to study, its duration and other factors, the AFMC fee structure differ.

  • For MBBS, the admission fee is INR 2,66,000/-
  • For M.Ch, the total course fee is INR 1,93,200/-
  • INR 1,28,800 is the course fee for MD.

AFMC UG Admission 2019

The college offers MBBS and B.Sc Nursing as UG courses. Admissions for these courses are based on merit.

  • Candidates who have cleared 10th and three years Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery with a minimum of two years experience in the profession are eligible to apply for B.Sc Nursing.

 Anyone who has passed 12th is eligible to appear for NEET and hence can apply for AFMC too. The entrance exam to be cleared is NEET(NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY ENTRANCE TEST). Typically the last call may go until AIR 3000, but the top rankers are usually taken unless they have medical issues

    Course Duration:

    The duration of MBBS course is four and a half year followed by internship of one year.

    Service Liability:

    Students have compulsory liability to serve as Commisioned Officers in the Armed Forces Medical Services. The offer of the type of commission will depend on the vacancies available. The candidates' parents/guardians are required to sign a bond agreement at the time of admission.

    ELIGIBILITY AND QUALIFICATIONS TO APPEAR IN THE ENTRANCE EXAMINATION GENERAL:

    A candidate seeking admission to the MBBS course is eligible to take the entrance examination if he/she fulfills the following criteria:

    • A candidate should be a citizen of India or be a subject of Nepal or Bhutan or a person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan or any other foreign country with the intention of permanently settling in India.
    • Must be unmarried. Marrying during the course is not permitted.
    • Should be medically fit as per prescribed standards by the Govt. of India, Ministry of Defence
    • Must have attained the age of 17yrs on 31st Dec of the year of application, but must not have attained the age of 22 years on that date(Not more than 24 years in case of candidates who have passed or are appearing in final B Sc examinations).

    Academic Qualifications:

    Candidate must have passed all the subjects opted for in the first attempt of the qualifying examinations as a regular candidate with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken simultaneously and securing not less than 60% of the aggregate marks in these 3 science subjects taken together and not less than 50% marks in English and 50% marks in each of the science subjects. They must have also passed an examination in Mathematics of the 10th standard.

    Number of Seats:

    A total of 130 students (105 boys & 25 girls) will be admitted.

The admission procedure for B.Sc(Nursing) is as follows :

Admission Procedure:

The course commences in the month of Aug. Advertisements for recruitment appear in the leading news papers of the country in the month of Oct/ Dec every year, both for B Sc & GNM courses. Candidates are required to submit their application forms in the prescribed format, along with other necessary documents mentioned therein.

Eligibility:

The candidate must be an Indian National (age- 17 to 25 yrs)

Educational Qualification:

10+2 with three years Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery with minimum two years experience in the profession. Male nurses who have not done midwifery in the GNM programme must submit a Certificate of completion of a course of 6- 9 months duration approved by INC in lieu of midwifery, The candidate should have not less than 50% aggregate marks in all subjects. The candidate should have passed the examination in single attempt.

Selection Procedure:

Selection will be based on the merit of the candidate at an All India level.

  • A written objective type of examination will be conducted in February/ March every year, at certain selected centres (Published from time to time.)
  •  Successful candidates will be called for an interview at selected centres in the month of April/May each year.
  • Candidates must be declared medically fit. The fitness will be determined by a Medical Board of Military Medical Officers.
  • Merit listed candidates based on the interview and medical fitness will be called for B. Sc. (Nsg).
  • Selected candidates will be required to execute a bond of agreement to serve in the Military Nursing Service for a minimum period of 5 yrs as permanent commissioned officers, on successful completion of the course.

Written Examination Centres:

The written examination will be conducted in 17 centres all over India.

Facilities: 

Accommodation and Food: The students are provided with free accommodation, free laundry services and free food - a well balanced diet as per prescribed scales.

Medical Facilities: Students are provided with free medical services.

Leave and Travel Facilities: Students are granted 30 days vacation leave and 10 days mid term break.

Stipend and Uniform Allowance: A stipend of Rs.250/- per month is given during the four years of training. A initial outfit allowance of Rs 400/- is given on joining the course and a outfit renewal allowance of Rs 150 per year during the 2nd, 3rd and 4th year of the course.
