Ahmedabad University was established in 2009 as a private, non-profit institute. Ahmedabad University admission is provided in the disciplines of Science, Technology, Management, Arts, Life Sciences and Computer Science. UG, PG and Ph.D programmes are offered in the Ahmedabad University admission 2020. Those who are interested may apply to the University after checking the eligibility requirements. Courses in Management, Arts, Technology and various other disciplines are offered for admission. The method of admission is mostly through the entrance exams for the particular course. For B.Tech, admissions are made based on JEE Main and also through ACPC. For the other UG courses, merit in the qualifying examination, performance in the co-curricular activities etc are considered. Admission criteria for the master's courses are course-specific.

Courses Offered by Ahmedabad University

Ahmedabad University courses are at bachelors, masters and doctorate levels. Admission to all the courses is based on merit. The courses being offered are as follows:

• B.Com, BBA, BA, B.Sc are offered as Honours programmes at the undergraduate level.
• BBA (Hons) + MBA in Family Business and Entrepreneurship and B.Sc (Hons) + M.Sc in Life Sciences are the integrated courses being offered.
• Bachelor of Technology is offered in three branches.
• Masters courses are offered in M.Tech, MMS, MA and MBA.
• Global Executive MBA in Pharmaceutical Management is also offered for professionals in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Doctorate of Philosophy programmes are offered in Engineering, Management and Life Sciences.

Ahmedabad University Application Form

The application process is scheduled to begin in October. The application will be made available online on the official website of the University.

• It is recommended that the applicants take 1-2 weeks to complete the application after giving it due thought.
• Add the correct academic scores in the application form.
• The scores will be verified during interaction and upon completion of the formalities of admission.
• The Office of Admissions and Financial Aid decides the final selection.
• Need-based and merit scholarships are also provided to the students.

Ahmedabad University Admission Fees

The fees for all the undergraduate courses is set at the same amount, except for B.Tech. INR 1,73,000 per annum is the fee for B.Tech according to the Ahmedabad University fee structure. For all the other UG courses, the fee is INR 2,00,000 per annum. 

Entrance Exams Accepted by Ahmedabad University

Since Ahmedabad University conducts a written test for some courses only, the national and state level entrance tests are accepted for all other courses.

• JEE Main should be attempted for B.Tech admission into the University.
• CAT / XAT / CMAT / NMAT / MAT / SNAP / GMAT scores are required for MBA admissions.
• GATE scores are required for admission into M.Tech. Those who do not have a GATE score must take the written test for M.Tech.
• Ahmedabad University Executive Admission Test (AUEAT) is conducted for shortlisted candidates of Global Executive MBA in Pharmaceutical Management programme.
• For Ph.D, NET-JRF qualified candidates (CSIR / UGC / ICMR / DBT / DST INSPIRE) are exempted from taking the written test.

Ahmedabad University B.Tech Admission 2024

Admission to B.Tech is available in Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Chemical Engineering branches. 50% of the seats are filled according to JEE Main. The remaining 50% is filled according to Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) of the Government of Gujarat.

Ahmedabad University B.Tech Eligibility

The basic eligibility requirement is to complete 10+2 from a recognized board of education with English as 1st or 2nd Language. JEE Main scores are compulsory.

Honours programmes are available in B.Com, BBA, BA and B.Sc. B.Com (Hons) and Professional courses are offered in Accounting. BBA is offered with Accounting and Finance, Business Analytics, Finance, Finance and Economics, Human Resource and Organisations, Marketing, Operations Management, Operations Research and Statistics, Supply Chain Management as specializations. Two integrated courses are also offered.

Obtaining passing marks in 10+2 is the basic necessity for admission into the undergraduate courses. Class 12 students awaiting results are also allowed to apply under Early Admissions. Academic performance in Class 10, 11, 12 along with co-curricular activities such as research projects, internships, performing arts, volunteering in communities, sports, participation in cultural and social service are also considered for admission.

Ahmedabad University MBA Admission 2024

A regular MBA, a Global Executive MBA and an integrated MBA are offered in the MBA courses. The admission to MBA is made on the basis of academic performance, aptitude test and personal interaction. Work experience is the main criteria for admission into Global Executive MBA in Pharmaceutical Management.

Ahmedabad University MBA Eligibility

A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline along with a valid score in CAT / XAT / CMAT / NMAT / MAT / SNAP / GMAT are the essential prerequisites for MBA admission. For the Global Executive MBA, one must have 6-15 years of work experience.

M.Tech, MA and MMS are offered under post-graduation courses. Computer Science Engineering is the branch available in M.Tech. MMS in Heritage Management is offered for those who are interested and have work experience in heritage sector. MA is offered in Economics with academic and entrance exam scores as admission criteria.

Ahmedabad University PG Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for each of them is to have completed a bachelor’s degree in the relevant stream. For M.Tech admission, GATE score is required. In case GATE is not attempted, the candidate is required to write the written given by the Department.

Admission to the doctoral programmes made based on the written test conducted by the University. NET-JRF qualified candidates are exempted from the written test.

To be eligible for the Ph.D programmes, one must have completed a bachelors and a masters degree in the stream most relevant to their field of study.
