Bhawna's review on Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi [IIT Delhi] | Written on: 18 Jan 2015

Academic schedule is fixed here. The entire schedule comes before the commencement of semester. Fixed no. of lectures and hours are allotted for each subjects. Best part is in the final semester students have flexibility to go for some open courses which they came even take up outside department depending upon there choice and interest. In the entire semester there are three exams Minor 1, Minor 2 and Majors so that there is regular evaluation of students which makes the schedule real hectic and tight plus there are regular lab works and projects along with surprise quizzes also. Quality and teaching methodology is good. Professors give more focus on research work than on theory lectures. Professors accessibility outside the classes is totally there. we can comfortably go with our problems and discuss it with our professors and they guide us in best possible way. But marks of students is totally in hands of your professor so there is kind of partiality which exist.

For Engineering students there are alot of job offers in India and outside India also.Various great companies come to placed the students but only the engg. students. For MSc. there are rare job offers a. Professor expect us to go for further studies like PhD and Post Doc. so mostly Professors dont appreciate students to get placed after MSc. So there is very limited job offers and even package they offer is also quite low.

Infrastructure is good. condition of labs are okay okay. Some labs are well furnished newly established and some are really old.. Classroom are fine but lecture theaters are Great.

 HOSTELS & FOOD Know more

On cmpus housing is totally fine. good hostel condition and mess conditions are there. food quality is fine. Food is bearable atleast. In some hostels there are one week menu and in some there are two week .
