 ACADEMICS & FACULTY Know more

  •  I the go to college at 9:00 am and spend my day till 4:00 pm there. Being the president of E.C.O  an NGO for environment conduct awareness programmes or spend my time at Justbooks , a local library in Vizag .
  • The teaching level in my University is really good. Whatever the faculty teaches   goes straight to the brain as they teach many techniques that prove worthy while solving problems etc.
  • My experience at GITAM is awesome. My peer group is one among the best I felt in GITAM. The ambience of the University , The green cover it has , its faculty all stand on top when compared to its sought.

.

  • . The overall fees per annum at GITAM for my batch is Rs. 2,04,500  with tution fee, library fee etc.

  • Many companies recruit GITAMITES every year. as of my knowledge TCS , VERIZON, AMAZON, WIPRO etc come every year to recriut in GITAM.
  • I remember that one among the highest package is Rs 18 lakhs per annum .
  • Alumni network is very good. Many former students of GITAM are in great positions.

 CLUBS & ASSOCIATIONS Know more

  • There are many student societies at GITAM , few of them are KALAKRITHI , VIVAAN, ROTRACT etc. There is also a proposal of getting my NGO called E.C.O getting registered here. I am hoping for the best .

  Rating:
ACADEMICS & FACULTY: GITAM is a good college with able faculty & teaching system.Accesibility to study sources is high compared to other universities and they give their student enough of practical and industry exposure.
FOREIGN EXCHANGE & INTERNATIONAL EXPOSURE: Being a university GITAM share ties with foreign universities but the nuber of students exchanged is not upto the mark.Student xchange programs are available but in certain limitations.
PLACEMENTS & ALUMNI NETWORK: GITAM  has almost no scope to internships for students instead student only has to deal with getting an internship and working on it through his own sources. Co...

B.Tech (Computer), batch of 2017

  Rating:
ACADEMICS & FACULTY: Not very happy with the academic syllabus. It's like they're just trying to fill in the four year course with random useless topics.I'm sure I can cover the useful parts within an year outside. Just hanging on for the degree.
FEES AND SCHOLARSHIP: They do provide schorlarships, but lay about a hundred conditions in order to avail of it. About 3% of the students are eligible for scholarships. Pretty sure only about 0.1% actually avail of it, thanks to the pre-requisites.
PLACEMENTS & ALUMNI NETWORK: One good thing about Gitam is that they do try and provide eveybody with jobs once we're done with the cours...

B.Tech (Electrical/Electronics), batch of 2016

  Rating:
ACADEMICS & FACULTY: Needs more practicality, versatility and broad-mindedness to be fit to be called engineering faculty. Many faculty members do not know proper english and therefore it implies it is closed for externals.
FOREIGN EXCHANGE & INTERNATIONAL EXPOSURE: For Engineering there is no scope of International Exposure as the only perceived ROI is placements. Only conference tie-ups with various companies of India which happen to be mass recruiters.
FEES AND SCHOLARSHIP: Scholarship is not availed by more than 3% of students and generally seems impractical. However, bank loans are available from the Union Bank of India branch p...
