Vivekanand Education Society's Institute of Technology(VESIT) was established in 1984 which provides professional education in the field of Engineering. The institute is affiliated to AICTE and the University of Mumbai. VESIT aims to provide a challenging and vibrant educational atmosphere for its students. The Campus is located in Chembur, Mumbai. Vivekanand college Chembur shares its campus with the College of Pharmacy and the College for Management and Research.

Vivekanand Education Society was founded in 1959 by Shri Hashu Advani, along with 10 members who shared the dream of providing qualitative education to the youth of the country. Vivekanand Education Society had launched with 256 students and six classrooms in the humble barracks of Chembur camp. Now it has been developed into 3,75,000 sq. ft. land, housing 12 buildings and 28 institutions, ranging from a creche to PhD centres.

VESIT offers various scholarships to meritorious and needy students. Students can contact their department scholarship in charge of all the queries and the application form. The form needs to be submitted to all scholarships.

Students Aid Scholarship:

To gain this scholarship, students should have a score of at least 7.00 grade and family income of less than one lakh per annum. Scholarships are given to 15-20 students across all departments every year. The Scholarship amount will be 15,000 to each student.

Vivekanand Jyoti Scholarship:

The scholarship is given to one student from each department. Every year an amount of 30,000 is given. The criteria is a grade point of at least 7.00 and a family income of less than one lakh per annum.

Geeta Israni Foundation Scholarship:

The Nischal Israni Foundation is offering the scholarship of Rupees of ten thousand. This is given to ten meritorious and needy students. The criteria of this scholarship will be less than 1.5 lakhs per annum of family income and a grade point of at least 7.00. The students who have a family income of less than 3L per annum can also apply to these scholarships. It is offered to only second-year students.

The Hostel is provided on a first-come-first-serve basis. The VES hostel was donated by Shri Harkishu Bhojraj Chanrai, Smt. Bhagwani Bhojraj Chanrai, Smt. Madhu Bhojraj Chanrai.
