VTU or Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum, was established in 1998. It has 35 undergraduate courses and 94 postgraduate courses in the Engineering discipline and MBA. Students can do their postgraduation courses at the University while the affiliated colleges offer Bachelor's degree courses. VTU accepts various examination scores at the time of admission. A few of the exams taken are JEE Mains, KMAT, NATA, GATE, PGCET, CAT and MAT.

The candidates studying in the affiliated colleges also have to check their results on the university website itself. The candidate can check for the results link, select their program and then login using the student credentials. The student credentials will include this registration number and date of birth. The results for each courses are declared soon after the examinations are over. The results declared by the university will be considered as final.
