Osmania University College of Technology, Hyderabad is an autonomous college that was established in the year 1969. It is one of the premier institutions in Telangana. It is a constituent college of Osmania University. The college is approved by University Grant Commission [UGC] and the All India Council for Technical Education [AICTE]. The University is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation [NBA]. It offers quality education in the field of Chemical Engineering. The College was first started as a department of Chemical Engineering. Then the Department of Chemical Engineering was redesignated as The Department of Chemical Technology. OUCT Admissions is based on merit and the rank scored in the National/State level Entrance tests followed by the University Counselling. Later the departments of Food technology and Textile Technology were formed by the University
