The National Degree College, Bangalore was established in the year 1945 and is run by the National Education Society. It is one of the oldest degree colleges in the city of Bangalore. The college was founded by Padmabhusan recipient Dr. H Narasimhaiah. The college was awarded autonomous status by the University Grants Commission in 2004 and the college has implemented the order starting from 2006.
