Here are the details of the course :

The Bachelor in Management Studies, a programme begun by the University of Mumbai in 1999, is being run by St. Xavier’s College under the system of Academic Autonomy. While it is an applied course which seeks to provide Industry with qualified workers after graduation, St. Xavier’s believes that an academic background is very essential to forming young people for this crucial job of managing enterprises. From the academic year 2010-11 the College has taken the responsibility to re-design its courses, framing its own syllabi and conducting its own evaluation system in the form of the Credit System, Semester System and a System of Continuous Internal Evaluation. We are confident that the academic focus we give to the course will help to upgrade the quality of education and create excellent middle cadre management personnel and those who will take the path of entrepreneurship.

This is a three-year degree programme, with six semesters, managed by a full-time faculty and by visiting faculty drawn from the Industrial and Service sectors. The College is committed to providing an in-depth training using the latest equipment in computers, practical experience, industrial visits and summer placements, wherever possible. Guest Lectures, Group Discussions, Seminars and Field Visits add to the attempt at critical thinking and creative problem solving.
