Shri Guru Ram Rai PG College was established by Shri Mahant Indiresh Charan Dass Ji in 1960. The College is recognized by UGC and affiliated to Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University, Garhwal. NAAC has accredited the college with an 'A' Grade and CGPA 3.04 on a scale of 4. The college is a part of the SGRR Education Mission. The College encourages students in research and development with scholarships and higher research through, Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE) cell.

Shri Guru Ram Rai PG College Admission is offered in Arts, Commerce, Science, Education, Agriculture Courses, and PG Diploma in Mass Communication at Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels.
