Admissions:
  • The student must pass the CLAT examinations to get an admission at The University of Delhi, Faculty of Law.

Societies & Associations:
  • Student society is not so active in Department of Microbiology.
  • College life is more focused on academics.
  • Events like national science day, sports day are organised annually.
  • Cultural fests are not so common.
  • Campus is very green and peaceful.
College Infrastructure:
  • Only one girl's hostel is available for the students at Department of Microbiology.
  • Hostel fees are Rs. 11,000 for 3 months.
  • Hostels are good. Provided with many facilities like gym and all.
  • PGs are not so good. Very congested rooms and cost Rs. 12,000 per month.
  • College cafeteria is good. Food cost per meal is Rs. 50 on an average.
  • Labs are highly equipped. Classrooms are clean and well organized.
  • The library is also very nice.
Academics & Faculty:
  • In Department of Microbiology, the students have a lot of practical experience.
  • The examination is conducted on a semester basis.
  • There are 4-5 assignments, presentations and internal exams are held in Department of Microbiology.
  • Quality of teaching is great. Teachers are Highly supportive and very knowledgeable.
  • Class timings are from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm.
  • Overall College experience is amazing. 
Fees and Scholarship:
  • Course fee atDepartment of Microbiology is Rs. 5,000 per year.
  • Scholarship opportunities like Monsanto, south campus students scholarships are available. 4 -5 students get scholarship on an average.
  • No loans are needed.
Placements & Internships:
  • I have worked in a du innovation project and received a stipend of Rs. 8,000.
  • Alumni of Department of Microbiology are working with some great labs outside India. Some are pursuing Ph.D. from the university of Delhi and some are doing from abroad.
Admissions:
  • For Msc Microbiology there are 12 seats in Department of Microbiology, University of Delhi. 6 seats are based on merit basis and the remaining 6 through an entrance examination conducted by the university.
  • Eligibility for entrance examination is Bsc general or Hons in any branch of life sciences or medical sciences from any UGC recognized university with a minimum of 60% in the qualifying exam.
  • For merit basis, the eligibility is Bsc Hons Microbiology from the university of Delhi with a minimum of 60% in the qualifying exam.
  • Cut-offs vary. For the year 2016 entrance examination 72 was the highest score.

  • There is just a film society in the department for screening movies in the foreign languages.
  • University of Delhi [DU], New Delhi College life, in general, is very tough and tiring.
College Infrastructure:
  • The University of Delhi [DU], New Delhi college infrastructure is good.
  • The hostel fees is around INR 4500 per month.
  • The college does'nt provide food at all.
Placements & Internships:
  • I havent done any internship from University of Delhi [DU], New Delhi.
  • Very few placement opprtunities are present in the department.
  • No alumni network is available in the department.
Fees and Scholarship:
  • Course fee per year is around INR 4500 at University of Delhi [DU], New Delhi.
  • Very few scholarships are available to the students.
  • I don't think loans are needed.
Academics & Faculty:
  • The daily routine is very exhaustive at University of Delhi [DU], New Delhi. We have regular classes and presentations.
  • The quality and method of teaching is very high.
  • Overall experience in college is superb.

  • I live in rented room which cost is Rs 7 thousand per month.
  • College food is good in quality and cheap from outside. 
  • Facilities are not good at the university of Delhi, New Delhi.
Placements & Internships:
  • No internship provided by the university of Delhi, New Delhi. 
  • Most companies come to hire students.
  • Don't know salary figure but companies give high package

  • The course Fees is Rs 10205 per year at the university of Delhi, New Delhi.
  • Scholarships are available.
Academics & Faculty:
  • Classes start from 9am-5pm at the university of Delhi, New Delhi.

Social Atmosphere:
  • The atmosphere of University of Delhi [DU], New Delhi is amazing There is always something going on in/out of the campus.
  • There are different events and seminars happening.
  • Also, Delhi is also abuzz with every kind of event.
Fees and Scholarship:
  • The fees of University of Delhi [DU], New Delhi is quite cheap.
  • There are many scholarships provided by the universities for the minorities and the ones in need. 
International Exposure:
  • There are foreign exchange programs provided by the Delhi University.
  • One has to really look for these and keep a track of it. 
Academics & Faculty:
  • The teachers are good and flexible with the timings of the lecture and schedules at University of Delhi [DU], New Delhi.
  • DU is one of the most reputed universities in India.
  • The teachers are experienced. Professors provide proper notes for the examinations. The schedule is also not much hectic.

College Infrastructure: Some of the colleges under this university boast of their brilliant infrastructure and a variety of hi-tech services provided, such as free wi-fi, etc. 
Placements & Internships: The students from this university get decent placements and internships. The E-Cell of different colleges are highly active in fostering this process. Apart from on campus placements, off campus placements are provided too.
Fees and Scholarship: The annual fee of different courses offered by DU is minimal. Being a government university, the courses are subsidised. However, different scholarship programmes are run simulatenously to make it affordable by everyone.
Academics & Faculty: University of Delhi offers a variety of courses to a wide range of students, belonging to different streams. It is one of the largest universities in the world.

  • the central placement cell is very good and many good key companies come to University of Delhi [DU], New Delhi.
  • The colleges also have separate internships.
Fees and Scholarship:
  • The course fee structure is easy to pay at University of Delhi [DU], New Delhi and the education can be afforded by all students, irrespective of how financially well off they are
International Exposure:
  • Many colleges have exchange partnership programs and there are also separate programs by uni authorities which can be availed by all students at University of Delhi [DU], New Delhi.
Academics & Faculty:
  • University of Delhi [DU], New Delhi has some of the best colleges in the country and has the best campus life in India with North and south campuses being a hub for student activity.

  • promotion of liberal thought process through weekly seminars and various departmental publication ensure that anybody with any idea is heard and wherever required necessary help is provided by the department to promote the social responsibility eg. go green initiative by the department to save unused A4 sheet paper at the university of Delhi, New Delhi.

  • A lot of clubs like economics club, finance club, business club, cultural committee, sports committee ensure participation of all students in department activities at the university of Delhi, New Delhi.
Hostels & Food:
  • on-campus hostel facilities along with affordable private food and lodging facilities are available at the university of Delhi, New Delhi.
Placements & Internships:
  • The placement scenario is amazing as placement committee is one of the most active student body in the department with more than 80 per cent placement at university of Delhi, New Delhi.
Fees and Scholarship:
  • a very good option for students from different financial class as course fees is minimal and varied opportunity of stipend at the university of Delhi, New Delhi.
  • The scholarship for research scholars. the Subject wise scholarship is also available to promote interest for econometric subjects.

  • The curriculum aims at an all-round professional development of a student and is totally focused on giving a practical first-hand experience of work environment that prepares a student for the professional career ahead at university of Delhi, New Delhi

  • The social atmosphere is provided by the union.
Societies & Associations:
  • College Union becomes active during election time at University of Delhi [DU], New Delhi.
  • There are different sports group which participate in national level matches.
Hostels & Food:
  • Canteen is there in the University of Delhi [DU], New Delhi college but college doesn't provide a hostel for students.
College Infrastructure:
  • University of Delhi [DU], New Delhi College campus is located in the vast area.
  • The infrastructure of University of Delhi [DU], New Delhi is good.
Placements & Internships:
  • To get job hard work is needed. For internship or higher education, it's required to go to University of Delhi [DU], New Delhi campus.

  • The course fee at University of Delhi [DU], New Delhi is very good and bearable.
  • The scholarship scheme is also available here in my college.

  • The course at University of Delhi (DU), New Delhi (Applied Operations Research) over the years has gained immense popularity, helps in gaining the right mix of knowledge relating to applied mathematics subjects thus enabling great job opportunities.
Academics & Faculty:
  • The quality and method of teaching is good at University of Delhi (DU), New Delhi, however more theoritical and less practical. Very average & efforts need to be put in mostly by oneself to understand concepts.
