ACADEMICS & FACULTY:

● Faculty: • Welingkar does boast of some really good faculty and even does complete justice to it. • Some professors are really experienced and have a lot of knowledge to share. It is the only reason why I would like to suggest aspiring students to take admission in this institute. • One drawback is that some of the faculty are very austere. ● Studies, Projects, Assignments and more: • Studies at Welingkar can be a lot of fun which imparts a lot of practical knowledge with live projects, field work and life skills. • Usually the end of every trimester (for PGDM students)/semester (for MMS students) is very hectic with presentations almost every alternate day. • CGPA is given a lot of importance here. 4) Administration and clerical staff: • I must say that the clerical staff here is some times rude and uncooperative. Overall summary in general :- ●Pros - Good learning environment by imparting practical knowledge. - Training regarding Corporate ethics, dressing and behaviour is imparted in day-to-day college life and Foundation Fortnight ( a grilling process for first 15 days of college). - Good alumni network ● Cons - For out of Mumbai students, be ready to not meet your family for 6 months at a stretch because ther are NO holidays! - You get your time table only before 3 days so you cannot plan you days ahead. - You feel like you are in a boarding school with the amount of strictness and interference. You feel like you have come to a primary school and you are scolded every now and then.

ACADEMICS & FACULTY: WeSchool is one of the top colleges of India.Welingkar has a world-class infrastructure that boasts of a fiber optic backbone on its campus, plug-n-play classrooms and 24x7 internet connectivity with 2mbps bandwidth. There are various PGDM courses provided which are being improvised with the changing needs of the market. Some of the newest courses other than the core PGDM courses are Business Design, Health Care management, Retail management, Rural management and E-business.  The professors emphasize more on the practical approach and try and groom the students so that they are ready for the corporate world. The teaching faculty is highly experienced and have immense knowledge about their subjects.

ACADEMICS & FACULTY:
  • The classes are held according to the availability of the lecturers. Each year, as we know is divided into trimesters. The curriculum is specific to what the students need to be knowing in an orderly manner.
  • Classes are of 2 hours each. Almost all the subjects have projects on an ongoing basis. We also get to work on some exciting live projects as well. There are practical as well as theoretical tests and assignments.
  • Welingkar has a number of PGDM courses, in lieu of which is PGDM-Business Design, also, it being the only institute in Asia to provide this course. It is the flagship course of Welingkar Mumbai.
  • Lecturers make sure that the class is interactive and class participation plays an important role in the same.
  • Faculty is of elite class and their way of teaching is incredibly outrageous.
  • We are free to reach out to the professors for any querries in their particular field.

PLACEMENTS & ALUMNI NETWORK:

• Summer internships are compulsory after the end of first year. • Number of companies visiting the campus for summer internships is less compared to it contemporary institutes. •Welingkar is has good placement records for Marketing.

• Placements for Operations students are average. Some extremely good companies with high packages and good profiles do visit the company though but they recruit very less students. Competition is high because amount of students taken by each company is less and profiles are very good. Other companies offering Operations offer average packages. Placements for HR is average.

• Average pay package given here is Rs 7 lakhs per annum. Some job profiles offered here are extra ordinary because of the good relationships of professors with industry otherwise the placements here on an average are like any other run-of-the-mill packages and profiles provided by its contemporary Institutes.

• Welingkar has a strong alumni network which helps more with the industry interface.

  • There are lots of PG options available for students around the college with great facilities.
  • There is an insane number of restaurants that are near Welingkar and the student can eat a new cuisine every day of the week.
  •  The night life is also very good as Welingkar is equidistant from Bandra and lower Parel.

INFRASTRUCTURE & TRANSPORTATION:
  • Girls are given accomodations in various flats on sharing basis in few buildings around college and Dadar station. • They have well furnished rooms with options for AC/ Non AC. It has unlimited high speed Wifi. There is no hostel mess. Hostel, Welingkar has boys hostel in Sion. Though the Institute doesn't have a campus as such, it does stand tall with a subtle air of pride surrounding it.
  • Canteen- It has different canteens for students and professors. Quite adequately spaced to accommodate so many students. Food is satisfactorily good in taste. I feel that food is slightly over priced as compared to canteens of other colleges.
  • The colourful tree at the gate especially gives the Institute a vivacious energy. •Some classes in the upper floors are designed in a very classy manner. Though some classes in lower floors do some injustice because they are very old. Hence it is not 'Well-Lighted' and does not have comfortable chairs and table.
