B.Tech (Computer), batch of 2016
14 Apr 2015
Societies & Associations:
10/10 on this one. Many student associations with a lot of activity around the year. The people are very helpful and friendly. The college has many technical societies namely ISF , CSI , MES , CEF. The technical societies are of high repute and cary all the technology related activities in the campus. The college boasts of a club called JYC which organises all the cultural activities.
Hostels & Food:
Mess is extremely hygeinic and has a dining capacity of around 400 students. On campus there is a nice cafeteria (9/10) which is cheap, has very nice seating but the canteen is just about ok. But outside campus you have 100 options. Budget depends on where and what you choose to eat but the range for a meal can be anywhere between 200-300 Rs.
Everything is available and the infrastructure is modern and up to date. One of the best campuses that I have seen in Madhya Pradesh. It has all world class facilities backed by probably the best infrastructure in the country.
Placements & Internships:
There are recruitment events on campus where all major international companies from various sectors participate. Opportunities are available and you should be speaking decent English to get selected in any of the multinational companies.
The university has an excellent affaliation program with the University Of Florida for the conduction of 8th semester for CSE and EC students.Students were selected based on merit - both the masters GPA and past academic background.
Academics & Faculty:
This is a high paced programme with clasees starting from 9 in the morning and going on till 5 in the evening.Tests were regularly held throughout the course to make us gain all the valuable knowledge from the curriculars. There was a good mix of theory, practice, case studies and oral presentations providing the students with a strong base and engineering fundamentals. All teachers and staff were highly professional and they tried to give personal attention to students. Even outside of the classroom students could maintain a friendly relationship with the professors, creating a good feeling of camaraderie. The quality of teaching along with the practical approach to studies was excellent.
