ACADEMICS & FACULTY:
  • Once again the academics is something which makes JBIMS what it is. The quality and method of teaching are amazing.
  • The guest faculties visiting the campus are one of the best in their respective fields. The permanent faculties are good in imparting knowledge which leads to a good overall concept clarity among the students.
  • The college has been functioning for the last 51 years and one can easily imagine the kind of experience JBIMS has when it comes to imparting knowledge.
  • The daily routine of JBIMS keeps us moderately busy. Our days and nights are spent attending lectures, guest lectures, seminars, working on assignments, participating in competitions and last but not the least, hanging out on Marine drive.

ACADEMICS & FACULTY:
  • The daily routine in Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies is very very hectic.
  • Most of our faculty members are from the industry.
  • Class timings are from 10:30 am - 11:00 pm.
  • The stuff that they teach can hardly be found in books. Their methodology is completely different, practical based on industry experience.
  • Moreover, all the corporate competitions of top corporates open for us and we also devote a lot of time in doing those case study competitions.

ACADEMICS & FACULTY:

JBIMS is one of the Ivy league MBA institutes in India and it is rightly known for its esteemed and experienced lists of professors that range from industrial stalwarts to successful entrepreneurs. Academics at JBIMS comprises of a perfect blend of theoretical and practical studies and here the professors imbibe students with practical management knowledge and case studies. Application-based study is preferred by most of professors teaching here.

Being a full-time MBA student in JBIMS student, one is always kept \\\'on the go\\\' what with last-minute the lectures being scheduled! As JBIMS consists of mostly external faculty, expect the weekends to be very hectic! However, all these weekend lectures are worth it as one gets to learn and gain knowledge from industrial stalwarts like Prof. Boman Moradian, Prof. Manekar, Prof. Bhattacharjee, Prof. J.K. Kapoor, and the list seems endless. The lecture timings can range from 1 hour to 6 hours at a stretch depending on the professor teaching the subject.

Another USP of JBIMS is that its guest lectures which are held regularly so that the students get exposed to real-time management examples and scenarios. Personally, I found these lectures really helpful as it helped my broaden my horizons and we also get to interact with JBIMS alumni during these lectures via doubt sessions. There are approximately 2 to 3 guest lectures held every month and they cover all domains - finance, marketing, operations, HR, etc.

FEES AND SCHOLARSHIP:
  • The course fee at JBIMS per year for a general candidate is approx. Rs. 1.05 which is dirt cheap if compared to the fees of other top notch B-schools in India.
  • There are some internal scholarships available to students on the basis of need and merit about which they can know when they join the college.
  • Anything between a 2-5 number of students gets scholarships and it is sufficient because very few people need the scholarships as JBIMS has such an affordable fee structure.
  • Loans are not needed at all, at least I have not seen anyone from my campus go for an education loan while studying in JBIMS. However, loans are readily available to any JBIMS student because of the prestige of the college.
  • Banks like SBI, ICICI, etc provide education loans at affordable interest rates.

FEES AND SCHOLARSHIP:
  • JBIMS is one of the few MBA colleges that can boast of an excellent ROI as it annual fees cost meagre Rs. 1 lakh per year.
  • So, one can easily complete full time MBA within Rs. 2 lakhs.
  • Scholarship options are available for students that fall under reserved category or those who fall under economically backward caste.

FEES AND SCHOLARSHIP:
  • The course fee per year is Rs. 55000 rounding off, though it\'s much greater than other normal colleges but because it\'s MBA integrated course, that\'s why it\'s okay for students. Also the college is not actually Jamanalal Bajaj but a tie up with it. It is called Mumbai University Thane sub campus.
  • Also there is no scholarships available here for students.

INFRASTRUCTURE & TRANSPORTATION:
  • The campus at JBIMS is very small with a moderate-size red building in the middle of it.
  • JBIMS does not have its own hostel. However, there are 25 seats reserved for JBIMS in the Mumbai University hostel which is hardly sufficient to accommodate 120 students and hence the seats are allocated on the basis of performance in the qualifying entrance examination, and the rest have to look for accommodation outside.
  • The hostel fee for the Mumbai University hostel is Rs. 6,500 per year.
  • There are good flat options outside in nearby areas like Colaba, Churchgate, Parel, Marine lines, etc where 1-BHK flat costs around Rs. 25k-30k per month.
  • The food in the college is average in taste but affordable. One plate of a normal meal(Veg) costs around Rs. 50.
  • The quality of classrooms is above average.
  • Dining halls and Labs are not applicable for the college. However, the library of JBIMS is one of the best B-school libraries in India with access to more than 40k books.
  • The WiFi in the campus is good but needs improvement.
