ACADEMICS & FACULTY:
  • My college has the best amenities.
  • It is known for it's faculty the most.
  • The teachers are really interactive and try to teach the students in the easiest way possible which makes learning more of a fun task then just mugging up,
  • The staff, canteen and everything provided in the campus is really up to the mark.
  • We have students from across the globe which helps us understand and know about other cultures too.

ACADEMICS & FACULTY:
  • BA from Jai Hind college (affiliated with Mumbai University) is a 3 year course with 6 semesters. In the first two semester there are three compulsory subjects and three optional subjects. The 3rd and 4th semester, we continue studying the three optional subjects which we chose during the start of the course, along with one additional component and one compulsory subject. the final year, last two semesters, we can major in any one subject or do a part major in two subjects.
  • The choices of subjects is vast, with around 15 subjects to choose from. Teachers use various methods such as presentations, group discussions, textual, student performence, etc. Teachers in Jai Hind college are helpful and very easily approachable.

ACADEMICS & FACULTY:
  • The academics at Jai Hind College are of very high standards. Classes for F.Y. generally vary but for S.Y. and T.Y. classes are held at regular timings in the morning. Every subject has its own project which are very challenging. It provides a lot of practical knowledge. Jai Hind offers a variety of courses ranging from arts, commerce and science.
  • The visiting faculty at Jai Hind College come from the industry having a lot of experience of the subject in practical world. Mostly all the faculty members are friendly and are accessible even outside the class.

FOREIGN EXCHANGE & INTERNATIONAL EXPOSURE:
  • Jai Hind doesn't have much international exposure.
  • Also there are no student exchange programs held in the college. Students don't travel anywhere for student exchange programs. English and Hindi are the languages spoken on campus.

FOREIGN EXCHANGE & INTERNATIONAL EXPOSURE:
  • Jai Hind College has a few college collaborations namely with Bournemouth University UK ( especially for BMM students ) and has also signed an MOU with the consortium of 17 Canadian Universities.
  • There is a full fee waiver of tuition fees is available to the students.
  • There is a scholarship facility of 2000-2500 $ to the deserving candidate, which is pretty awesome.
  • Courses are taught mainly in English, although students do communicate in both English and Hindi.

  • The course fees is around INR 5000-6000.
  • There are multiple scholarships available. It is available to scheduled castes.
  • Around 30 students get scholarships.

  • The average college fees is not really high as compared to other colleges or institutes.
  • The students dont require loans as the fees is nominal.
  • Scholarship options are provided by the college.

  • The college fee is moderate at INR 19k annually. Its not too much.
  • Anyways there are scholarships offered to the students at INR 20k to some of the students of all the courses. About 5% of the students get scholarships.

  • I was interning at Camlin, wasn't stipend.
  • Directi, Tata, reliance, KPMG, EY comes for the placements.
  • Average package is of Rs 300,000 per year and about 70% of batch gets placed.
  • Alumni network is pretty.

  • Many courses in Jai Hind have placements in their final year. Companies like KPMG, Ernst and Youngm PwC, etc hire students from Jai Hind.
  • Every year one student is appointed as the placement head who co-ordinates with students and teachers regarding these companies.

  • Since I'm just in the first year i don't know much about the internships and final job offers at college. Even in the first year we are offered internships by reputed companies.
  • The alumni network is strong and they are called regularly to conduct workshops and guide other students. Also the successful alumni's are called upon to narrate their success stories and inspire the students.

INFRASTRUCTURE & TRANSPORTATION:
  • The canteen of Jai Hind college is above average, serves good delicacies at almost affordable prices.
  • Well, the infrastructure is quite up to the mark. Even though, there isn’t a huge campus, it’s well maintained and cleaned regularly. Good classrooms, comfortable benches, and well equipped library with books of all possible subjects, gives a thumbs up to the overall infrastructure of Jai Hind College. As Jai Hind is located right next to Marine Drive, there are hundreds of expensive restaurants like Pizzeria, Indian Summers, Café Mocha and Relish.

INFRASTRUCTURE & TRANSPORTATION:
  • Recently, Jai Hind has started using an annexe building with newer, better and modern classrooms and facilities.
  • The annexe builiding is used by degree college students and the old building is used by junior college students. There is a vast and highly informative library with excellent collection of books. There is a cafeteria and a canteen.
  • There are psychology Labs, computer labs and science labs. Jai Hind also has an enormous Auditorium which can accomodate 1000 people. there is also an AV room where many conferences, talks, presentations, etc happen. There is a Gymkhanna which has chess and carrom boards and table tennis tables.

INFRASTRUCTURE & TRANSPORTATION:
  • Jai Hind has world class infrastructural facilities. The new building which was opened recently has state of the art fire alarm systems and Wi-Fi connectivity.
  • The clasrooms are fully air-conditioned and are very comfortable. The campus is limited but is enough for the college requirements. All the labs, libraries and auditoriums are maintained well. Commuting to Jai Hind is no issue at all as it is conveniently located just outside the Churchgate station and has a bus stop nearby. Students mostly travel by trains and personal transport.

  • The quality of food at Jai Hind College is good and the food is tasty.
  • The college has two canteens in order to accomodate the growing number of students. The college has no student housing options at all.

  • Jai Hind College doesn't provide hostel/housing facilities for the students.
  • The campus has two canteens, both offering a wide array of food/drinks at reasonable prices.
  • The quality of food is not so good.
  • There are a wide array of restaurants near the campus, offering great vegetarian and nonvegertarian food.
  • Overall experience in college is good.

CLUBS & ASSOCIATIONS:
  • Jai Hind is an extremely active college when it comes to outdoor activities. There are a number of clubs which are incharge of cultural activities, sports, inter-college and intra-college events, etc. Some of the clubs are Gymkhanna association, Social and Dramatic Union, Rotract Club of Jaihind College, Gujrati Sahitya Mandal, Hindi Parishad, etc.
  • There are also many associations which are related to studies like the Psychology association, History association, etc.

  • It has a lot of clubs which are very active and social.
  • They organize a number of events at Jai Hind College which keeps them busy. The college has its own gymkhana where students can practice various kinds of sports.

  • Jai Hind College does have a wide variety of clubs ( RCJC, Student council etc) all of which are reasonably active throughout the year.
  • The sports infrastructure, on the other hand, is a bit disappointing, with only a few carrom/ table tennis tables along with a gymnasium, available to the students.

SOCIAL ATMOSPHERE:
  • The students in Jai Hind college are from different religions, race, economic status.
  • There is no sex discrimination practised by teachers or staff. Use of alcohol and drugs is strictly prohibiited in campus.

SOCIAL ATMOSPHERE:
  • The social atmosphere in Jai Hind College is pretty awesome.
  • Every course does provide a freshers party, along with an Industrial visit (basically an extended party), which offers a great opportunity to get to know your batchmates.
  • On the other hand, alcohol/cigarettes are banned both in and around the college campus, with only a few bars in and around the area.
  • Life in college is good.

SOCIAL ATMOSPHERE: JaiHind College is home for Jaihindites with so much of comfort zone and exposure provided to students.Its an mazing experience to be a part of JaiHind.The Fest, the campus , the faculty ,crowd,placements is amazing.
