ACADEMICS & FACULTY:
  • You\'ll get a timetable and all the classes will occur due to that schedule most of the time. And in the case of any changes the CRs of the class will inform you beforehand. Usually, the classes will start at 9 a.m. and go until 5 p.m. with an hour break in between.
  • The quality is good but not top notch. You\'ll find it quite similar to what you have been exposed to in your school lifer except the fact that you won\'t get a daily homework. The faculty is friendly, though. They really help you a lot and understand your situation very well. So, whenever you are in doubt, do knock on their door. They\'ll be happy to help.
  • Overall, I am good. I am leaving with mixed feeling. Some are good while some are bad. But one thing I am sure is that I am going to miss it. But do keep in mind that do look for other better choices which are available in your vicinity. Don\'t be impulsive and just go for it. Visit it once. Have a look around. Experience it yourself and then take admission.

ACADEMICS & FACULTY:
  • Routine is really hectic, 7-8 hours of teaching from mon-Friday. Examination system is depressing we have minors which are held 2 times in 3-4 months(20 marks each). Then quizes or presentations (10 marks) In 5th month of our semester we have major examinations(50 marks) Which makes the total of 100. So exam after exams makes it really depressing.
  • As far as quality education is concerned i would say that quality of bsc Eco (hons) was average. Purely theoretical teaching .
  • Overall experience was not that good. No practical exposure.

ACADEMICS & FACULTY:
  • The daily routine of GNDU is very good. Our classes starts at sharp 9:00 A.M and continues till 5:00 P.M. A break of 1 hour is given to the students.
  • The quality of teaching is quite good. University provides lectures and tutorials to students. In tutorials we can discuss our problems in academics to the teachers.
  • At the end of it, I would just say that my overall experience in university till now is very good.

FOREIGN EXCHANGE & INTERNATIONAL EXPOSURE: There is no Student Exchange Program available in the University for the B.Tech students as of now. But University definitely has courses available in Foreign languages like French, German, etc. Students of B.TECH (CSE) also get a chance to choose French as an interdisciplinary course although the problem is with the information dissemination. There are courses available and even the faculty for each such course is quite good but the problem is with the students not knowing of the other courses which they can avail along with their regular subjects.

  • Depending upon your own condition, you may require a loan. But I am not very much familiar with the process.  So, you\'ll have to enquire that yourself.

PLACEMENTS & ALUMNI NETWORK:
  • The university won\'t help you in getting any scholarships. You are on your own in that case. You have to constantly check for these opportunities and grab them as soon as they appear. But keep in mind that to get an internship from colleges other than IITs, NITs, you  have to show that you are better. Hence keep enhancing your skills and also don\'t let your CGPA go down as getting good marks here isn\'t quite difficult.

  • For placements, plenty of companies visits GNDU every year. And if you are pretty serious to get placed then at the end of your course, you\'ll definitely have at least an offer in your hand. The visiting companies include TCS(Mass Recruiter), Capgemini(Mass Recruiter), Tech Mahindra(Mass Recruiter), Amdocs, Code Brews, John Deere etc. The selection procedure of each company can be found on the internet.

  • The salary package varies from INR 2.0 lakh to 7.0 lakh p.a.

  • These days the placement department have started asking for alumni help to refer their juniors in their own companies. It\'s a pretty sweet gesture by the department and it\'ll surely help in increasing the selection ratio of the university. GNDU maintains a database of all of its alumni so that they don\'t lose contact with anybody.

  • The GNDU contains 2 boys hostels and several girls hostels. Each hostel has several blocks with hundreds of rooms in each block. Hostels get 24*7 water and electricity. The annual fee for the hostel is INR 18,000 with additional INR 5,000 to be deposited as security which will be refunded to you when you leave the hostel. The mess charges are separate from the hostel fee which you\'ll have to pay every month with each diet of INR. 25.
  • For INR 25 the food that you\'ll get is quite good for its price. The classrooms and labs, all have been renovated recently along with some new ones that have also been built this year. All of them contains every material that you may need.
  • The Library of GNDU is its pride. It is a magnificent building with approximately 4,00,000 books with several rare manuscripts.
  • The entire campus is equipped with Hi-speed WiFi. But the students get only 200 MB data per day which is revived every day at 12 a.m.
