Parul Institute of Pharmacy and Research was established in the year 2005 with the mission of service to the poor and needy in the fields of health-physical, mental and intellectual. From the academic year 2005 to 2008, the institute was affiliated to Gujarat University. Later on, the affiliation of all the Pharmacy institutes of Gujarat state shifted to Gujarat Technological University. As the Government of Gujarat honoured university status to Parul Campus, from the academic year 2015-16, all the courses are affiliated to Parul University.
The main objective is to develop professional skills in students, with special sensitivity to ethical and moral concerns, comprehensive knowledge in pharmacy and health care sectors. The institute is approved by PCI and AICTE.
