Manipal University Merit Scholarships

Manipal University offers various merit scholarships to its students. This scholarship is available for every student admitted to the university and fulfils the eligibility criteria. The details of various Manipal University scholarships are given below.

Manipal University Scholarship for MBBS, BDS and B.Pharm Courses

• The MIT Manipal scholarship offers scholarships with up to 100% concessions on tuition fees.
• The scholarships are for students who secure the first 100 ranks in their respective course merit lists.
• Students are required to pay INR 11,000 which includes a registration fee of INR 10,000 and a processing fee of INR 1000 at the time of admission. 
• This Manipal University Scholarship 2024 will not cover the hostels, books or accommodation expenses.

Manipal University Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship

• Students who rank from 101 to 500 are eligible for the merit-cum-means scholarship at MIT Manipal.
• The scholarship is for BDS, B.Tech and B.Pharm courses.
• These Manipal Institute of Technology scholarships depend on the parents' annual income. 
• Students must note that they must pay a nominal amount of 5% of course fees or 5% of total family income (whichever is minimum) as a yearly instalment.

Manipal University AICTE Scholarship

• This Manipal University Scholarship 2024 is awarded to students to promote post-graduate education and research in Engineering, Technology, and Pharmacy of MHRD.
• AICTE provides financial assistance to students enrolling in the MTech or MPharm courses after qualifying for the GATE or GPAT examination.
• The scholarship amount is awarded directly to the selected students once they are admitted to the university and their documents are verified.

Manipal University Kalam Pai Scholarship

• This Manipal University Scholarship 2024 is awarded to students who pursue MBBs or BDS courses.
• Scholars who have obtained 1- 500 (for MBBS) and 1 - 10,000 (for BDS) ranks in all India NEET examination are eligible to apply for the scholarship.

CLAT AIR-qualified students admitted to MAHE Bengaluru are eligible for this Manipal University scholarship. The 10+2 scores are required for UG course admissions while the UG scores are required for PG course admissions and CLAT AIR scores.

Manipal University Scholarship for Academy of General Education Students (SAGES)

• This MIT Manipal scholarship is eligible for a few students who have completed two years of PUC for UG courses or qualifying examinations for other AGE colleges.
• The scholarship amount depends on the marks obtained and the annual income of the student’s parents.
• Students must note that those eligible for this scholarship also qualify for the Interest Subsidy on Education Loan Scholarship.

Manipal University International Scholarship

• MAHE Manipal scholarships are offered to scholar/achiever international and Indian students who are admitted under the NRI/NRI Sponsored/Foreign program.
• Students must score at least 75% in 10+2 (for UG) and graduation (for PG) to qualify for this scholarship.
• While the scholarship is awarded from the 1st year of the program, the achiever scholarship is awarded from the 2nd year onwards.
• Students must submit their passports, visa copies (for international students), Embassy certificates (for NRI-sponsored), and past academic records.
• Students must maintain a minimum CGPA of 7 or 70 per cent to continue the scholarship.

Manipal University ITC Scholarship

• ITC Hotels offers scholarships for students pursuing a Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHM) at the Welcomgroup Graduate School of Hotel Administration (WGSHA).
• Students who excel in operational subjects for graduation, are eligible for this scholarship.
• This Manipal University Scholarship 2024 is worth INR 3.5 Lakhs.

Manipal University Alumni Scholarship

• This MAHE Manipal scholarship applies to wards of the university's alums who have completed their UG/PG or PhD courses.
• The alums must register themselves on the MIT Manipal Alumni portal.
• A scholarship amount of 10% concession on the tuition fee is awarded to the selected students.
• Students must note that they must pay the caution money and fees for the first year. The scholarship amount is balanced in the fees at the commencement of the second semester.
• Documents of the alums are required alongside the student’s documents during admission.
• This Manipal University Scholarship 2024 will apply only to 2 children of the alums.

Manipal University Scholarship for Konkani Speaking Students

• Manipal Institute of Technology scholarships are offered in the form of a 10% tuition-fee waiver for UG and PG students whose mother tongue is Konkani language.
• Students require a letter from the passing out School Principal or Institute Director proving that the student’s mother tongue is Konkani.
• Students must note that they must pay the caution money and all fees for the first year. The scholarship amount is balanced in the fees at the commencement of the second semester.

• The Vidya Lakshmi is a first-of-its-kind portal wherein students can apply for an educational loan. 
• This portal was developed under the guidance of the Department of Financial Services (Ministry of Finance), the Department of Higher Education (Ministry of Human Resource Development) and the Indian Banks Association (IBA). 
• In addition, the NSDL e-Governance Infrastructure Limited maintains the portal.
• This portal allows students to view, apply and track education loan applications to banks anytime and anywhere. 
• Students must note that they must apply through the Vidya Lakshmi Portal to take an education loan.

Manipal University Scholarship Guidelines

The Manipal University scholarship guidelines are as follows.

• Students must maintain the required attendance percentage every semester and have no backlogs or fail any papers.
• Students must note that no disciplinary action must be taken against them.
• Students must note that the scholarship amount cannot be exchanged for cash or cheque and is adjusted against the tuition fees.
• Before applying for the merit scholarships, students must thoroughly check the eligibility criteria. The scholarship is immediately revoked if the candidates are found ineligible at any level.
• Merit Scholarship students are required a CGPA of 7 or more to renew their scholarships after the first year.
• The Manipal University Scholarship Committee can award or revoke the scholarship anytime.
• If the awarded students do not go forward with the admission, the scholarship is revoked, and a refund is granted to the university.
• Finally, students must note that they will not be awarded two Manipal University scholarships. If a student is eligible for more than one scholarship, then only one will be chosen per the student's preference.
• If a student fails to follow the above guidelines, their scholarship can be withdrawn at any time.
