LPU Scholarship 2024 will be offered to students based on their merit and financial needs. Lovely Professional University strongly believes that monetary constraints should not hinder students from accessing quality education. So, the university extends the scholarship scheme worth INR 6 Lakhs per student based on various parameters.
LPU scholarships are awarded to the students based on eligibility criteria, the LPU National Entrance and Scholarship Test (LPUNEST), and the performance of the students in various cultural, R&D, and co-curricular activities. The university provides lucrative scholarships in around 150 programs to its students ranging from Diploma programs to Ph.D.

LPU Academic Merit Scholarships
LPU offers various scholarships to students based on merit. The university offers after-10th, 12th and graduation scholarships based on various criteria. The details of the various Lovely Professional University Jalandhar scholarships are elaborated below.
LPU After 10th Scholarships
- This LPU Scholarship 2024 will be awarded to deserving candidates based on certain eligibility conditions like educational qualifications, LPUNEST Scores, and performance in cultural, R&D, and co-curricular activities.
- LPU awards scholarships amounting to INR 1.5 Lakh per student in the "After 10th" category.
- The scholarship amount percentage varies from program to program as per the below-tabulated classification.

LPU After 12th Scholarships
The "After 12th" LPU Scholarships depend on four basic factors:
- Educational Qualification
- LPUNEST Scores,
- National Level Entrance Test Scores like CUET/JEE MAINS/NCHM JEE/NEET/UCEED
- Performance in extracurricular activities.
There are three brackets of scholarships for each category mentioned above. The bracket eligibility is tabulated below.

Students seeking admission to the lateral entry programs can seek Lovely Professional University scholarships based on the diploma eligibility qualification. The Scholarship Scheme awards scholarships worth INR 6.8 Lakhs per student in the "After 12th" courses category.

LPU After Graduation Scholarships
As per the LPU Scholarship Scheme, scholarships amounting to INR 3 Lakhs per student are currently awarded to the students opting for the "After Graduation" programs.
Scholarships are awarded on four major parameters as per the LPU Scholarship Scheme for the "After Graduation" Courses. These factors are listed below:

LPU Merit Scholarships
LPU Jalandhar has several scholarships awarding the admirable performances of students in their respective academic endeavours. The merit scholarships offered by LPU are based on the candidate's performance in various categories listed below:
- Eligibility Qualification: Academic Performance in the 12th Standard for UG and Graduation for PG Programs.
- Entrance and Scholarship Test: LPUNEST.
- National Level Entrance Tests: JEE Mains, NEET, UCEED, CAT, MAT, GATE, GPAT, MAT, and so on.

LPU Previous Examination Scholarships
Lovely Professional University scholarships are divided into three brackets where students are awarded based on their previous examination marks (10+2 or graduation). Based on those marks, the students are placed in each scholarship bracket, with bracket 1 having the highest scholarship amount and the hardest eligibility rules.

The Lovely Professional University scholarship is offered based on the student's performance in the test. Students are divided into "Groups" based on the LPUNEST PhD cutoff. The cutoff for each category will be announced along with the result of the respective schedule. LPU Scholarship Based on Work Experience for MBA
LPU Jalandhar scholarships are offered to students with work experience pursuing an MBA course. In addition, students with a minimum experience of 2 years are qualified for this Scholarship.
The scholarship is awarded additionally on top of any other scholarship for the eligible students. The LPU Punjab scholarship details are tabulated below.

LPU offers a special scholarship scheme of full Programme fee waiver to the Top 20 Rank holders of every Recognized School Board (State, Central and Open Board provided a minimum of 1000 students should have appeared in the said exam) .

- Full Programme Fee waiver (Including Examination Fee), and
- Free Stay in a four-seater room (Air Cooled Room) in hostel

Free Transport Facility (if the residential facility is not availed)
- Eligibility for Application: The applicant whose name is among the top 20 rank holders in the merit list published by the concerned board (State, Central and Open Board provided a minimum of 1000 students should have appeared in the said board exam) and the applicant is fulfilling the criteria mentioned below defined by the university will be eligible to apply for the benefits under the scholarship.
- Year of Passing Out: The applicant who is passing out in the current year batch will be eligible to apply under the scheme (i.e., students passing out in 2024 will be considered for admission session 2024-25 and students passing out in 2024 will be considered for admission session 2025-26).
LPU Scholarship For Entrepreneurship
Lovely Professional University offers a special scholarship scheme on performance in Innovation, Startup, Entrepreneurship, and Hackathons. The details of the LPU scholarship include:
- Students with creative minds are awarded this scholarship so that they are inspired to follow their dreams.
- The LPU University scholarship will be awarded to the students based on achievements in the previous two years at the international/ national level.
- Students must note that the university Scholarship Selection Committee has the final say in the Scholarship awarded.
LPU Cultural Scholarships

LPU Special Scholarship for Toppers of Education Board
LPU offers special scholarships for the top 20 rank holders of every recognised school board with the clause that at least 1000 students have appeared for the respective board exam.
The students are awarded a full program fee waiver and a free stay in a four-seater room in a hostel or free transport facility.
LPU LPUNEST Study Grant
LPU announced a study grant of INR 1 Lakh per student for aspirants who want to be a part of prestigious institutions like IITs/NITs/IIMs and others.
- The university extends the LPU Scholarship Scheme to students on various parameters like performance in qualifying examinations (10+2 or graduation), LPUNEST (LPU National Entrance and Scholarship Test), sports, cultural, R & D, co-curricular, social service and bravery awards.
- Any deserving candidate who qualifies for the LPUNEST exam can get a study grant of INR 1 Lakh for study education institutions like IITs, NITs or IIMs or can get admission to LPU programmes.
LPU Financial Need-Based Scholarships
Lovely Professional University offers financial aid for students belonging to a specific category and whose annual family income is below a certain limit so that they can pursue higher studies. LPU EWS Scholarships
LPU believes in providing equal educational opportunities for students despite their socio-economic or financial background. That is why the LPU Scholarship 2024 for EWS Category students will be awarded to the eligible students.
- To be eligible for this Scholarship, students must not have an annual income of more than INR 8 LPA.
- In addition, the above figure must not cross, calculating all sorts of income from agriculture, business or any other profession.
LPU Scholarship Guidelines
The various guidelines for the LPU Scholarship 2024 that will be awarded to students are listed down below:
- The scholarships apply only to Indian students.
- The scholarships are awarded by verifying the documents, certificates and any other documents required by the university.
- Students must read the eligibility criteria that are mentioned clearly on the LPU official website before applying for any LPU scholarship.
- Even if a student is eligible for more than one scholarship, they are awarded only one scholarship as per the student's choice.
- A candidate who was admitted under the Post Matric Scholarship or any other Government Scholarship and is eligible for the full programme fee waiver can either avail of a Scholarship offered by the Government Agency or the LPU Punjab Scholarship offered by the university.
- In case a candidate opts for programme transfer, even then, they get the scholarship benefit from the prior course in which they were admitted. However, students must note that no separate LPUNEST schedule is conducted for such candidates.
- The LPU scholarships apply only to full-time students and not distance learning.
- In case a student is charged with disciplinary action or misconduct, then the Scholarship can be revoked.
- A minimum attendance and CGPA maintenance rule is levied for the continuation of the scholarships.
- In case of false information or incorrect bank details, the scholarship could be cancelled.
- The LPU Scholarship Committee reserves the right to award and cancel the scholarship at any given time.

What are the various scholarships offered by LPU?
LPU is offering scholarships worth INR 100 Crores to students where each student can avail a scholarship of INR 6 Lakhs to help them alleviate their financial burden.
What are the eligibility criteria for LPU scholarships?
The LPU scholarships can be availed by fulfilling the basic educational eligibility criteria which include academic merit, marks in entrance tests, performance in sports, and cultural and extracurricular activities.
Does LPU offer any scholarships for industry professionals?
Yes, LPU offers many scholarships for working professionals deputed at various Fortune 500 companies.
I have completed a degree in distance mode from LPU. Can I avail additional 10% scholarship based on an LPU alumni?
Yes, you can avail of the alumni scholarship as per the alumni scholarship policy only if you are eligible for the Ph.D. program.
If I am an LPU employee then how much is the duration of “Special Benefits for LPU Employees”?
All LPU employees (Faculty / Staff) can avail of this benefit under “Special Benefits for LPU Employees” Financial Assistance with a maximum duration of four years.
Am I eligible for any scholarship as I am a government teacher? If yes, then how much scholarship will I get?
All Government employees from industry professionals or the teaching fraternity can avail 50% scholarship for a Ph.D. (part-time) and 70% for a Ph.D. (full-time) program.
