IIT Dharwad: Courses, Fees, Facilities

IIT Dharwad is a public technical university and was established in the year 2016. The admissions to all the courses offered are made through various qualifying exams like JEE Advanced for B.Tech and GATE for M.Tech courses. The registrations for JEE Advanced will be open from August 7 to August 11. The M.Tech admissions are done on the basis of the GATE score followed by an interview. 

IIT Dharwad offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral courses. It has 8 departments with over 10 specialized courses. JEE Main qualified candidates can apply for admissions by filling out the application form available on the institute's official website. The institution is mentored by and modeled on the curriculum of IIT Bombay. Currently, IIT Dharwad is functioning on a temporary campus located within the Water and Land Management Institute (WALMI) near the National Highway (NH-4), while the permanent campus is under construction at Chikkamaligawad village.

IIT Dharwad Admission

IIT Dharwad offers admissions to UG, PG, and Ph.D. courses. Admission to UG courses is done on the basis of JEE scores and the process is conducted online. Similarly, for MS and Executive M.Tech, the admissions are conducted online. 

IIT Dharwad Eligibility Criteria

IIT Dharwad offers various UG, PG, and Doctoral programs and the eligibility criteria are as follows

B.Tech Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate must have completed 10+2 with PCM. They must score at least 60% in HSC. 
• Candidates must have a valid JEE (Advance) score. 

MS Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate must be a graduate in a relevant discipline.

Ph.D.  Eligibility Criteria

• Master's Degree in Engineering/ Technology or equivalent degree, with a minimum aggregate of 60% [55% for SC/ ST].
• Master's Degree in Science, Arts or Equivalent degree with 60% aggregate [55% for SC/ ST].
• The candidate may also have a valid GATE Score/ NET/ SET.

IIT Dharwad takes admissions via the JEE scores. The cutoff for 2022 will be announced soon. The eligibility requirements and the institute's cutoff criteria determine the admission into the specific course. The cutoff ranks are different for each category. IIT Dharwad Result

IIT Dharwad admits students based on the JEE (Advanced) scores. JEE Advanced is to be conducted and the results of the exam will be announced accordingly. The candidates are advised to check the official website of NTA for further details.
