  • Classes start at morning 8am for everyone and ends at different timings. Exams usually we IIT\'inas call them as quiz1 quiz2 & end semesters. Attendance 85% is MANDATORY. If the attendance is below 85% institution does not allow the student to attend the exam and no supplies for that you need to repeat the entire course.
  • Teaching faculties are good.
  • The college life you experience is good.

  • Mostly classes are in the morning with afternoon slots occupied by labs for around 3 hours, or tutorial / assignment classes which run from anywhere between 1-2.5 hours. The course material is extensively covered over the duration of the semester with 1 tutorial test/class per week.
  • Exams are conducted once in a month ( Quiz-1, Quiz-2 and end semester) ( Each semester is for 4 months ). Also we have surprise tests ( which generally depends upon the professor taking the course ), which help us to be better prepared for exams.
  • Over and above all these we get assignments ( usually given if tutorials are not regularly conducted) and end of semester projects which count towards our final evaluation.
  • The professors are very learned and excel in their chosen field of teaching. Being friendly and approchable one can always approach them with doubts pertaining to the subject. Apart from clearing doubts they ar

  • Daily routine is good. 8 AM class commences and it goes till 4:30 PM.
  • Exams are tough but there are plenty of assignmnets given and graded which ensure you atleast pass.
  • There is not much project orientaition in Academics. But there are clubs which one can join and pursue a project of his interest.
  • Quality and method of teaching is good. Many teachers teach in a practical way, more examples, more "real life" examples and problems a challenge to think.
  • College is amazing more exposure to extra curicular, co-curicular. Students efficiency inceases alot and anyone institute is never free always engrosed in some or the other activity.
  • There many clubs insude IITM for activites of Tech, CLuture, Entrepreneurship, Arts, Sports.
  • Shaastra Tech fest, Saraang Clutural fest, E-Summit Entrepreneurial Fest and & o

  • Some of the things in this review might not still hold due to the change in curriculum and a few points might be inclined towards my own program of study.
  • Daily routine in any IIT is more or less the same. Class timings from morning 8 AM to afternoon or evening (depends on the program and year of student). Exams are really competitive but the fact that the grading is mostly relative, gives a sigh of relief. (Relative grading: Instead of how much you score, its how much you score relative to others in your batch). Assignments form a regular part of the semester and are given out at regular intervals. Each assignment carries a certain weightage for that course. Projects are an integral part ofthe curriculum. Dual Degree students have to compulsorily do a final year project with a professor, while in B.Tech one has a choice of either a final year project or an extra set of courses.
  • The quality of education and teaching is superb. The p

  • The daily routine is well spaced and manageable. Classes generally start at 8 am and end latest by around 4.30 PM with free hours in between. Exams are scheduled almost once a month and assignments and projectss are informed well beforehand.
  • The Quality and method of teaching is top-notc. Most of the learning is by self-study once the concepts have been covered in the classes. The professors act as great facilitators of learning.
  •  I can dare say without the slightest of doubts that college life is great in IIT Madras and the atmosphere here is the best and most conducive for a jumpstart to our careers.
  • There are a lot of clubs for ethnic groups as well as for vocational groups.
  • Saarang (Cultural fest), Shaastra (Tech Fest), Department Symposiums (Including Management) and Sports Fest and Inter-IIT Sports Fest.
  • College life is great.

  • Timing are very comfortable for students and we have projects in third or fourth year , coming to exams we have two quizzes (or one mid sem ) and end semester exams, not too many exams. Assignments it depends on which course it is some of them have assignments and some don\'t ,but the assignment are not gonna be lengthy. The maximum number of hours of work you can have is 60 per week including classes .
  • In IIT Madras you are going to be taught by top notch professors in our country , recently IIT Madras is ranked as No.1 engineering college in India . Now I think you have a great idea about quality of teaching. Coming to methods ,we here in IIT Madras have modern labs and teaching assistants to help in all our academic activities and professors are also use computer based teaching methods in classes for teaching.
  • In IIT Madras you gonna find it as a place where you can learn things from a group of talented professors ,seniors and your classm

  • Classes generally begin at 8 AM and end at 5.45 PM. However, there are quite a few free slots during the day which can be effectively utilized for studying. Assignments and projects depend on the subject and professors. For some courses regular submission of assignments is necessary and it caries marks. However, for some other subjects, tutorials are uploaded on Moodle which students are expected to solve. For every major subject, there is a tutorial class every week where students can get their doubts clarified by the TAs. The examination format is 2 quizzes and one end semester exams for some subjects, where as it is one mid term plus one end sem exam for some others. The faculty here are very good, knowledgeable and approachable. Most profs are student friendly. The experience here is just fantabulous. The sports facilities are outstanding and the number and variety of different clubs here are simply amazing.

  • Its Good
  • Now in Second Year it very Nice.
  • There are atleast 10 official club and 6 to 8 societies.
  • Sarang and Shastra is most famous fest in our college.
  • In one word College Life is awesome.
