Guru Nanak Dev University Regional Campus, [GNDURC] Gurdaspur was established in 1999. The University's main objective is to make special provision for the spread of university education among classes and communities which are educationally backwards. Moreover, it helps weaker sections of the society celebrate, freedom of thought, cultivates vision and encourages growth.  Also, the institute inculcates human values and concern for the environment and the society. The college is approved by AICTE and UGC. It is also ranked among the top universities in the country.

Further, the institute has achieved itself to the rank 16 among the top 50 universities in India, as per the recent survey conducted by 'India Today' and has achieved 11th Position, out of the 500 universities, in Publications in science. In the year 2012, the university has been awarded National Championship in Inter-University Youth Festivals. • For B.Tech Courses, admission shall be made on the basis of inter-sem merit of aggregate marks scored in Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English of Senior Secondary Examination (12th grade) with at least 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ST).
• For all other U.G. courses, the admission shall be made on the basis of inter-sem merit of Senior Secondary Examination (12th grade).
• For P.G. courses, the admission shall be made on the basis of inter-sem merit of the qualifying examination.
• For the unfilled seats after direct admission, the regional campuses should be allowed to participate in centralized counselling to be held at main campus subsequently.
