Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya, Bilaspur was established in 1983. Admission to the B.Tech program offered by GGU is based on the JEE Main 2024 examination. JEE Main 2024 exam dates have been released by NTA. JEE Main 2024 Session 2 results will be out on April 25, 2024. 

GGU holds membership in the Association of Indian Universities and Association of Commonwealth Universities. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council [NAAC] has accredited GGU with B Grade. GGU has been approved as a University by UGC. 

GGU Bilaspur is a semi-residential institution. GGU Bilaspur covers almost the total spectrum of higher education with 32 teaching departments offering various courses in the areas of Arts, Commerce, Education, Engineering and Technology, Humanities, Life Sciences, Management, Pharmacy, Sciences, and Social Sciences. Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya Admissions are open in the month of April every year.  VET is conducted by GGU Bilaspur in a variety of program groups. This paper is intended for undergraduate courses. It includes a two-hour objective type paper (100 questions).

GGU Bilaspur admission 2024-25 is open. Candidates can apply online on the college website for admission to GGU Bilaspur. Admission into the courses is made through the Entrance Examination held by GGU Bilaspur. River Arpa known as the Lifeline of Bilaspur runs parallel to the GGU Bilaspur campus. GGU later transformed into Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya which is a Central University of India established under the Central Universities Act 2009.
