Govt. Medical College, Kozhikode or Calicut Medical College is one of the premier medical colleges which is located in the heart of Kozhikode city in Kerala. The inception of the college was in 1957 and it is the second medical college in Kerala. Since its birth, the institution has grown into a premier center of medical education in Kerala. The sprawling campus of Medical College is spread over an extensive area of 270 acres [1.1 km²]. In the beginning, the medical college was affiliated to the University of Calicut and now it is affiliated to Kerala University for Health Sciences [KUHS]. This college and other allied institutions serve 40% of the population of Kerala.

The classes and training programs offered by the college are of top-notch because of the efficient faculties and facilities in the medical college.  Admission to the Medical College is based on the eligibility tests such as KEAM and NEET and the previous academic scores of the students.
