Goa Medical College was set up in 1842 by the Portuguese. It is one of the oldest medical colleges in India. The college was renamed as Goa Medical College in 1963 which is headquartered in Bambolim. The college was earlier affiliated to Bombay University, but now comes under Goa University since 1986. Admission to UG and PG courses is through NEET UG & NEET  PG score. 

The college offers UG and PG programs in 19 specialisations, Diploma in 8 specialisations  and Allied Health Courses such as Bachelor in Physiotherapy, Bachelor in Occupational Therapy, Bachelor in Optometry, B.Sc in Medical Imaging Technology and Anaesthesia Technology.

Goa Medical College Admission

Goa Medical College [GMC], Panaji admission 2022 are in process. The candidates can download the GMC application form online on the college’s official website. Candidates have to clear the state / all India entrance exam for the admissions at the college. The college considers NEET UG, NEET PG, NEET SS Entrance Exams for admission to various UG, PG & diploma courses.

Goa Medical College Eligibility Criteria

Goa Medical College has set different eligibility criteria for different courses in which the students have to qualify to get admission to the college. The eligibility criteria for the courses are mentioned below

M.B.B.S Eligibility Criteria 

• The candidates must pass in 10+2 with 50% Marks in relevant subjects.
• Candidates must qualify the NEET UG exam followed by college counselling.
  

M.D Eligibility Criteria 

• The candidates must have an MBBS degree from any institute recognized by the Medical Council of India [MCI].
• The candidates must have a valid score in NEET PG Score followed by the college counselling.

Diploma Courses Eligibility Criteria

Goa Medical College cutoff 2022  is yet to be released. The cutoff is based on the eligibility test score of the students in their respective exams and the previous year academic performance is being considered. The institute uses NEET UG score for admission to UG courses and NEET PG scores to select students for its PG programmes.

Goa Medical College results 2022 are declared. The results can be seen and downloaded only on the official website of the college. The even and odd semester-end results are released mostly after one or two months of the exams. Candidates can download the results by visiting the official website of the college i.e. gmcmec.gov.in.
