GITAM University Vishakhapatnam offers financial assistance and scholarships to students performing well in the academic session. Some of the scholarships offered at GITAM University Vizag scholarship are given below.

Merit Scholarship

The GAT / National / State Entrance Tests scholarship is only valid for the first year. The student will be eligible for the scholarship in the year in which they achieve the required CGPA in any year of their academic career.
The GITAM University Vishakhapatnam scholarship is not applicable to students who have failed or who have improved their CGPA to the required level in that year. The award is open to any GITAM University Vizag student who achieves the required CGPA.

Need-Based Scholarship

The combined income of both parents of the qualifying student must be as follows to be eligible for the need-based scholarship:
Candidates enrolled through merit scholarships in the slabs of 75%, 50%, 25%, and 15% and whose parents' combined income is within the statutory limitations are eligible for an additional need-based scholarship.
If a student is eligible for a need-based scholarship but refuses to upload the tax documents, i.e., form-16 / Acknowledgement of Income Tax Return of both parents, via the counselling portal, they will not be upgraded to a need-based scholarship.
Only the 75 percent, 50 percent, 25 percent, and 15 percent slabs will be eligible for need-based scholarships.
The GITAM University Vizag scholarship covers the first year of the student's course of study. The same scholarship will be continued in consecutive years of study if the student maintains a CGPA of 8.0 or higher and if both of their parents' tax records are evaluated for subsequent years according to the need-based scholarship criteria.

Employee Children Scholarship

Employees' children enrolled in full-time courses and have received 100% or 75% scholarships are not eligible for the employee's children scholarship.
Children of GITAM employees enrolled in full-time courses are eligible for 50 percent, 25 percent, and 15 percent scholarships, with a maximum combined grant of 75 percent.
The amount of scholarship awarded will be determined by the employee's income on a prospective basis at the start of the academic year.
If both parents of the admitted student are GITAM employees, the GITAM University Vishakhapatnam scholarship will be awarded to the one with the greater salary.
