D J Academy of Design (DJAD), Coimbatore was established in 2004 has belonged to the illustrious GKD Charity Trust. JAD is an educational member of the International Council of Societies of Industrial Design (ICSID) and DJAD has an academic collaboration with the prestigious North Umbria University, UK. DJAD started with a joint certification program with the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad. DJAD is also a founder member of the Indian Design Institutes Alliance [IDIAI which has formed NEED (National Entrance Examination in Design)]. The vision of the institute is to be a globally competitive design school second to none in the world and the mission is to offer quality design education that is relevant to society, thoroughly professional, and affordable.

DJ Academy of Design Placement

DJAD has a placement cell that bridges a gap between industry and academics. The institute conducts various in-house and outsourced training to maximize the employability level of students. The institute organizes pre-placement talks, competitions, studio-industrial visits, workshops, etc. Some of the potential recruiters are Infosys, Magic Crate, Funskool, HCL, Nilkamal, Schneider Electric, Pricol, and many more.

DJ Academy of Design Scholarship

DJAD awards a limited number of scholarships to befitting students under the following norms from 2nd year onwards:

• Only DJAD students with a family income of less than INR 10 lac per annum are eligible to apply.
• Students must submit “Form-16” of both parents, along with the application form.
• From among the lot of students with a gross family income of less than INR 10 lac p.a., the most deserving and needy students will be selected, based on their attitude and academic performance.
• The scholarship will be given to meet 80% of the tuition fees
